2017 Starved Rock to Peoria Run, Sunday Oct 8

are there any plans for a run in 2018 ?

I would like to do this again. :)

Actually, @buckbuck is there anywhere on the river to slip overnight near the starting point? Since I’m coming from the south, I’d be tempted to launch in Peoria on Saturday and run up that afternoon, and come down with the group on Sunday morning and depart after lunch.

It may be saturday or sunday.
I would like to do this again. :)

I believe it just has worked better on sundays.
This will probably be planned right after shelbyville.

Peoria doesn't have slips and while there are a few docks along the way peoria and one other place i know of have fuel but that's it. There is no fuel and sometimes no docks at starved rock.

I might try to do this again. Finally being on the dayshift makes it a little easier.

We will definitely plan this trip right after Shelbyville.

I have over night slipped at Starved Rock Marina

Peru, Spring Valley, Henry and several places in Peoria will have Fuel.

Staying at Starve Rock puts the Dam in play and it can hold you up for a long time. Spring valley boat club has docks for overnight stays. South shore boat club may have some docks in Peru. Peru also has hotels and Uber.

Peoria is still limited on places to eat at on Sundays.

If I make it I may join you as I will coming from Dallas

Is there anyone that knows if there are places to eat in peoria near the docks?
I had heard some places closed. Just wondering whats left!

Is a date set yet?
Hoping to attend as well, once someone sets a date. :)

Might leave the kids at home this time. It was a long ride for them. All 3 fell asleep on the way back after lunch last year.

I wanted to fall asleep after lunch too.

How about October 7, 2018 for the Peoria Run? Assuming all are good with that, I will start making reservations, etc.
