2022 Yahama 195s....Deposit

Same here; put down 10% for 2022 ar195 @ River Valley Power & Sports Red Wing; counting days to hear from the dealer, which they said is sometime in July (next month) ?

@thapakaji Man that is unrealistic and I am sorry to say. Mid August would be the earliest I would guess, if then. Tons of people in line for boats for months and months. They won't even start building them till July, which is the indication, and there is still a parts shortage for the current year that is built. Plus there is absolutely no way they would know the price or info on them to ALL dealers get the information at the same time.

Not trying to burst your excitement, but realistically you may have been misled. Looks by your profile pic you have a family and kids, I am sure everyone is very excited. I would be very cautious about when your deliver may actually happen this summer.

You got a better chance of being struck by lighting and ran over by a dump trunk in the same day, then getting a 2022 in July ?

Just joined today....

First Post.......Just sent my deposit in for a 2022 Yamaha 195s (Warm Interior) To my surprise the dealer said he will be sending my order on Monday.

The deposit transaction took a little longer than expected because they had to get 2022 order instructions from Yahama.

Could my 195s be one of the first Pre-orders?

Currently own 2016 Yahama VX Cruiser.
Wait they put your order in already? How is that possible?

2022's pretty sure they can't be ordered yet. Nothing to order without release of colors, models, prices, etc. You can get your name on a dealer preorder list that they keep. Unless something has changed.

OK. maybe I read his post wrong (thapakaji). I read his post to mean....we put money down on a 2022 and will get an update in July...........meaning next month they will give him an update on when his boat is coming, not that it will be there.

If I am wrong on how I interpreted it, then I agree with HangOutdoors, there is no way a 2022 will be in by July.

Seems a bit early to me also. I’m also hesitant because of who the dealer is. Maybe it was just the salesman I was dealing with but my experience with them was not great and he tried to jack up the price at the end of negotiations with a huge delivery and set up fee so I walked and got a better deal on the same boat elsewhere.

@HangOutdoors You got it; my oldest son is the most excited one who keeps asking me about boat every day. I appreciate your comments; I have been following threads on this forum pretty heavily for past few months, and I must say that your posts are what interests me the most. Thank you for what you have been doing on this thread and the community members. I will keep reminding myself to be realistic when it comes to Yamaha boat delivery date :-)

@Maineiac Mind sharing who you ended up going with? I agree on experience with River Valley; They have three locations here in MN; I had bad experience @ Mnnetonka location but then ended up with salesman from Red Wing; He cared to call me when they had 2021 available so I can feel/touch before I settle on buying that model. I appreciated his gesture/thoughts and ended up putting down 10% for 2022 pre-release.

Do you mind sharing what they quoted you on shipping and dealer prep?

I went with St Charles Boat & Motor down in St Louis. They’re a great dealership. I only wish they were closer to me!

I don't think getting a 2022 in July is in any way possible.
I put a deposit on a 212SE about 6 months ago. The dealer (here in Florida if that matters) told me a few months later that Yamaha informed them they will no longer be making the 212S or 212SE's for the 2021 model year, but it would be "possible" to get a 212SD. Here i am 1st on the list and still waiting in mid-June. The new models/colors/specs for 2022 wont even be available from Yamaha until August from what I've been told.

Sorry to say no. Dealers have been taking deposits on 22's since at least February.

Welcome! It will be interesting to see how long you will have to wait to get the boat. I have read some got theirs right away and others have been waiting for a long time.

I have a 195 with wakeboard booster kit. We ski, surf, and wakeboard. Love the boat. Wished we would have done the 212X after knowing what I know now about how the boat handles and such. Plus it seems like we have 2 families in the boat all the time. One thing is that the 195 feels big and I never feel cramped even with 10 people in the boat.
Will have 6 adults and two kids under 5 on our 195 in July. More than 4 will be a real rare occasion for us.

It was either $2500 or $3000 on top of MSRP.

Wonder if anyone has both shipping and dealer prep broken out separately. Could be important details.

I put deposit down in February with same company but in Rochester, MN. I was told the same thing then, it would be available in July. I have kept in touch with my sales person and as of last conversation he still anticipates July (late July but July).

But to @HangOutdoors point, they didn't know a lot of information. They made a guess of MSRP, $45,000 for a 195s that they guess the price will be. if it is less we get the better price if it is over we are capped at that amount. No idea of color or anything yet.

Ditto on price and color

Glad to hear you had a good experience at the Red Wing location. I had a horrible experience with that location and went to the Tonka location. Salesperson just didn’t seem interested in making a sale which is odd since I bought two waverunners the year before so clearly I wasn’t window shopping.

Just put a deposit down for a 2022 SX195. Dealer said we were the first to put one down for that model at their dealership. Hopefully we will be in our new boat by next season!
