Is it something that's better off or easier to fill out ahead of time?

Typically everyone has filled them out at the hotel the night before departure. There are longer forms that need to filled out and printed on legal paper in advance.

@Bruce any idea what the dates might be? New boss breathing down my neck to schedule my vacation time for the year....

Not your typical Bimini video. It has a lot we talk about but never record. First time out, they left in what appears pretty typical conditions and after riding for 2.5 hours at 5knots they decided to turn back and they mentioned consuming lots of fuel. You can clearly tell they were not on plane, and you can also understand by some of those boat slaps why they didn't want to push it. This is what I keep referencing. If you can't get in the mid to upper teens at a minimum you really should consider making a call to return early on. There's nothing wrong with regrouping, waiting, and giving another run at it whether it's same day or next. I think that's why it's important to have some flexibility in your schedule to accommodate any weather windows if needed. The 2nd time out the waters were as perfect as you could ask for and better then I've ever experienced, yet his boat was still bouncing pretty good. I understand it's a small boat with a hull that doesn't have a deep V, but still a pretty good look for those that haven't crossed before so you can start to prepare your crew for a rough ride. To cap it off, his alternator failed in Bimini and he was towed 3 miles offshore before boatUS towed him back stateside. Interesting watch...

I watched that video before, they made the right call early on. No shame in that.

The hull damage was from the rough seas crossing to Bimini. At first I thought I must have hit something in the water but the marina that fixed it for me said they had seen that type of damage before and that it is caused from bouncing in rough waters. The bilge pump would turn on every 15 minutes or so but it was enough to keep the boat from flooding. Attached is what the damage looked like...
@Edgar Almonte, is it possible that the hull got gouged, maybe by the coral-like rocks at the Harbour Towne Marina, and it eventually cracked open during the crossing?

I didn't leave from Harbor Town I left from Bahia Mar Marina but I was never near any shallow Waters. The insurance adjuster also agreed that it did not look like a direct strike against anything. I found it hard to believe but those guys know more about that type of damage than I do.

If it is a freezing Sunday in January, and nobody is posting, sumthin aint right.... ;)
