@newbote I used racket straps and they stayed in place. No problems at all in that department.
I wish I had done the same with my anchor.

PS. I have 2 AGM group 27. I think @Bruce has Group30 and he has had no issues.

I have two group 31 batteries in boxes with a ratchet strap across the top of them. Both ends of the ratchet straps are screwed through the floor.

The batteries is one I had thought about until this weekend when I was working on a stereo upgrade and noticed how loose the were strapped down from the factory.

2017 was the first year for Jay and I with the group crossing on skis! It was rough and we all took a beating but I don’t think there is any other group that I would have rather done it with! @MrMoose was awesome in being a leader. Even though we both had radios and navigation on his ski and our phones, someone was still checking on us.

This year we plan on going but Jay will be making the trip on the jet skis by himself unless we find someone else to ride the other with him and I will be going over another way due to health reasons!
