The Pensacola Air Show is July 16. Who all is planning on attending?

We've never been by boat and are looking to go. Thinking we need an official JetBoaters.net area :-D

I'm planning on going. Meeting up with some others and got some following me over from Destin. I'll screen shot a map and show you where we will be anchored up if you want to swing by.

You'll love going by boat. Plenty of space to anchor up and you don't have to be crowded by all the people, nor sit in traffic before/after. Buddy told me the parking lots were filling up at 6am last year.

Yeah man. That would be great. We've never been so I don't know where to anchor at.

What time do you try to get there?

Hey guys I will be there we aren't taking the boat we will be staying at the rv park but you want to get there early . it will be slammed by about 8am . not sure where yall are planning on rafting up but I know just about all the best places I have been going to this since I was about 5 years old

Damn...that's an early morning. Are you saying all the good anchor places are taken up my 08:00?

Just depends on where u want to be and how close to the shore you want to be

Sorry to be so dense on this but I've only been once. As kid, on land. Completely lost as to where to go by boat.

Thanks for any help

Wish we could go. Some year we have to make it to watch the Blue Angles over water!

@ToddW850 where do you plan on going . I think the best place to watch it is some where behind the Pensacola Beach boardwalk or just east ok it

We're going for the Friday show. We're hoping to leave the launch around 8:30, we go in Little Sabine Pass just west of the bridge.

Which day is best to go to? Is one day less crowded than the other?

@Bruce - how large of a party do you have? Care to grab a hotel/condo and then jump on our boat?

Thanks for the offer but we are tied up with teacher training that week(end).

I understand...w*rk calls.

Standing offer. I know that would be a long haul with boat AND family in tow

Friday sounds good. I want to go but I really don't want to get stuck in a stupid sized crowd.

Sorry, working night shift and we've been slammed.

Anyway, @Bennie we are going to the Saturday show. I will launch the boat around 0900 hours from Joe's Bayou Boat Ramp in Destin. Takes me just over an hour to get there through the ICW. Puts me getting there between 10-1030. Last year was the first year we went by boat. Boats seem to congregate closer to shore, but we had plenty of space to anchor up. Went over with @Helipilot11 last year, but he's since moved :(

@Scott griffith we will be in the area in the photo below. Is this the area you are referring to? Blue Angels flew right over the top of us several times. I've attached a few more pics from where @Helipilot11 and I anchored last year. We had plenty of room around us to hang out and swim. It was very hot. Scott, if you change your mind, you know where we will be.

If your going to be where you circled that shouldn't be to bad of a spot that far out . I expect there to be more than usual this year after what happened . We are usually just south of where u circled in the bend up close so we can get out and walk around and get Bushwacker . But if any of y'all stay that far out y'all should be fine

I'm going to talk to the wife about us heading over there. My daughter is stationed in FWB.
