Of course it will work. Recommend you also look closely at conductor composition for a good long lasting install.

You could probably get by with just about any wire of the proper gauge as long as you weren't worried about precision sound quality or lasting very long. Some folks opt for extreme high end copper with oxygen free bigger gauge wire because they are uncompromising audiophiles wanting high end reproduction with no budget limits, but personally, I"ve never been able to hear the difference, and IMHO, not worth the money.

In a typical small boat setup with a medium power amp like that, I'd generally recommend that you use at least 12 to 14ga "Tinned Copper Wire" conductors in an outer jacket. That's pretty important for a longer and safer installation life in a marine environment, and may be what you have as a lot of Duplex wire is higher end tinned copper. Avoid any other composition such as aluminum clad or bare copper conductors. If you want a few finishing touches, look at wire pants and solder seal terminals as well.

Maybe add some dielectric grease on the connection points that are not soldered? It would help to keep the corrosion at bay.
