I did install the software jailbreak but not my cargo and front cams.
Love it so far -- able to input gps addresses in while moving etc.

I think I'm finally going to place my order, but had a couple questions first...you said yours was around 250, but the sites prices are outdated. How did u order & get the lower price? After talking w/u about the inability to use lightning cable to show video I cam to the conclusion that I can just use my older iPad 3. & the adapter...just looking for confirmation, but you agree that will work right? I just can't use anything w/a lightning charge port?

When you place the item intoned cart and go to PayPal to pay, you will see the lower price.

I believe you can use the older iPad but be careful about its functionality. sometimes apps get phased out and you'll not be able to get the videos into the ipad. This may not be applicable to your situation.

I think it's worth the extra money to get the system that you can stream to if you are really wanting to stream video.

I looked into the mygig that you linked, but they have a disclosure at the bottom saying videos downloaded will only stream through Apple TV & may not work on the display :/

My main goals are unlocking the functions of the head unit that are locked when your moving & video for the kids, so I was worried about some of the videos not working

Ok, so I have read through this thread and followed it on and off because you guys are really making things work like it should have when you got your rigs. I have a "little" new rig to me too. It has a "gps" ready, LCD screen that is the back-up monitor panel. It has several 3 channels apparently and is of 2008 vintage. It will automatically choose the left or right side camera when the corresponding turn signal is activated. And you can select a number of different screen displays for use anytime, and it will display the rear camera view, channel 1, with both side views in smaller picture in picture screens at the bottom, which are channels 2 and 3. I am wondering if I could add other channels and what this "gps ready" actually means. Since it is a monitor, I am guessing you have a display channel from external sources plugged into it. Who makes a gps that uses a monitor? And if I did find one, it would be older technology I am sure. It might be cheaper and more prudent to upgrade that system completely, with a newer wifi or bluetooth type unit that has multiple and expandable channels as well as APP navigation to use Waze or google maps. I am even wondering if some travel industry out there will let you load a "trip kit" into your GPS. The good thing about a very low mileage/well cared for tow vehicle, is that it is worth spending a little to upgrade things for the long run. Any ideas?

It goes without saying that I trust my pardners at jetboaters.net first and foremost. I am not even sure if the Fleetwood or Discovery has a owners forum yet.

@txav8r Sounds like you have a motor coach specific product that fairly common. I would bet you can add of a GPS made by whoever made the unit. Get the make and model when you see her next.

I will Murf, I am sure it is coach specific. That is what got me to thinking that an updated unit might be cheaper than the add-on to a 7 year old unit. It will have to interface with the 3 cameras I have however. If it won't, it is going to be just the camera display and a secondary gps will be used, be it a garmin nuvi, iPad/iphone with app navigation, or otherwise. But there is at least 5 or 6 companies offering RV data overlay in existing map software, for putting in everything from nationwide dump facilities to RV parks, to RV specific routing. I got to drive it from Norcross GA (Atlanta) to Augusta. Ive been a passenger in it ever since so this is the only picture i have of it so far. Its a joy to be driven around in, quiet, smooth, not at all like my 1992 Ford F150 Stepside...
