Goal is to take a Mother’s Day Cruise and the boat will turn over and gauges work, but stereo, blower and fish finder will not not power on.
Batteries read fine on battery test.
Again, the boat will turn over and gauges work.
2012 SX210

Thanks!

Your house circuit is disabled.

A 20 amp fuse should be located in the wire near the battery.

Just checked. This guy looks ok. Checking the fuses in the engine compartment , but struggling to determine what side are the replacement fuses vs the in use fuses.

Any recent maintenance? Several ground wires are connected to the battery on mine. The ground is just as important as the + side. Do you have a multi meter? with main switch off, using a long wire you could check ground continuity between any these known grounds that are giving you trouble and battery ground to make sure ground connection is good.

thankfully these accessories do not stop the cruise, with Mother's day it may be easier to just enjoy the day with what works and repair tomorrow if it does not seem easy. Best of Luck!

Thanks! Running to ACE to get a voltmeter. It’s one of the few tools I don’t have on the boat.

I haven’t touched anything recently, as in the boat worked fine for the last few outings.

I'd make sure all the safety switches are closed, lanyard is in and shifter is in neutral.

When was the last time you went out?

motors fire up. Stock gauges show voltage and fuel levels. Just not certain if I have a depth sounder or not (since the Lowrance will not power up), and none of the other accessories are working with the exception of the horn. 2 weeks ago was the last voyage.

That's great! What do you think it was? Enjoy your mom...

The motors will start and run fine along with the gauges without the house circuit. You can take your cruise. Not having lights is the only safety concern.

The "stereo, blower and fish finder will not not power on" is consistent with a failure of the house circuit. There is the 20 amp fuse, a positive and a negative wire and individual breakers under the switches for each house circuit item.

Looks like it was some Corrosion on the back of the battery switch that was causing issues with the house circuit. :)

Looks like your issue is now a non issue.... how’d you fix it? Just cycle the batt switch a lot? Does your boat have two batteries or just one?

Hope your Mother’s Day cruise is super awesome!

Thanks everyone for your help, support and ideas! @Bruce for the heads up with was the accessory/house lead. Once we got the test light we were able to determine as we jostled the line we would have power for a moment.

Removed the battery switch and the common terminal had a tad bit of corrosion. Took everything off the common post, clean the terminal & the accessory ring, connected the accessory line to one of the “hot” terminals on the switch and we had power, so we knew we were good.

Put everything back the way it was, sprayed with some CorrosionX and carried on with the day.
