I have a ribbon delete and k&n with svho intercooler as my mods, I also drilled out a little bit the strainer plate. I am still seeing heat soak with the svho intercooler.

ebay had a $200 off code so I jumped on a fizzle with bov and m now having buyers remorse. I got on greenhulk and they said with stock tune the fizzle runs lean. Then in one thread guys in colder climates might have bigger problems then someone in Florida.

I live in Canada but I also live at elevation so the colder climate might even out with less dense air at elevation.

am I just panicking over nothing or should I try to cancel my order? $1000 for an intercooler is no small thing.

These engines run really rich as evidenced by the plugs being black after a year.

I think by lean they mean by making air intake colder so air is more dense so there is more of it. Bigger better intercoolers do this job better.

As long as this cooler intake air passes through the MAF mass air flow sensor, the injectors increase the amount of fuel to match the amount of air maintaining the proper mixture making the boat go faster.

What altitude are you at?

3400 feet above. I am planning a trip this summer to around 1000 feet above so that is what had me concerned

At 3400’ you are getting into the realm of needing an impeller that is pitched for that altitude.

If you're worried about spending the money, go with a Type 14 intercooler for a lot less.

I just ended up deciding to not do it. I bought a subwoofer and amplifier instead.
