@ClemsonTiger, @Hector, @JKallay, @Augusto David Rodriguez, @DiverB, @Edgar Almonte, @fromrio, @Jr15g, @Justin Edwards, @Lakeboy, @Larry Robinson, @scubarick314, @TexasPilot71, @wallacerb, @MazzyDan, @1948Isaac, @ACrews do you guys have your reservations in if you plan to make them? @swatksi noticed that a group of possibly 130 jet skiers is planning to arrive on the 14th and some have made reservations at Bimini Sands. So if you want to make reservations that you have not yet made I suggesting getting them in fast.

Bruce,

I have a house already south of the Sands with @Drift Away .

We're gonna take this year off @Bruce. Jason & Lavelle bought a house back around Thanksgiving & their daughter graduating high school this summer.

Not to mention I'm still currently up the creek without a boat. I'll keep watching & maybe I'll fly over to crash the party closer to you all's departure date.

Yes sir we are... an 2016 Sx240 and ar240...

Rob
@Bruce ill get with you when we get closer to go time. We are staying about 9 miles north of the hotel you all are staying at. @wallacerb has some work up there that weekend so we might leave from there and link up with you all out on the water

Are you planning to come out of the Hillsboro Inlet or are you boating south to Port Everglades?

I think it is unlikely that you would be able to meet up with us on the water if you are not at the Port Everglades turning basin when the groups depart. We will be departing at 6 if not at day break. I am uncertain if the intercoastal is a slow manatee zone in that area. If it is then 9 miles would be around two hours.

Thanks swatski and MrMoose.

Bruce made a good point about listening to music while crossing to calm the crew. i may just go fixed VHF w/ Bluetooth if I can find one that's not $400. I forgot I already have a Bluetooth headset (LG) for work I could use.

The external speaker I am using is only $32 and can be mounted temporarily with double sided tape. That plus a $160 GX1700 seems like a great deal compared to a $400 radio with Bluetooth.

Room reserved at the Bahia Mar Hilton for the 9th. Do we have Yacht Club info yet? @MrMoose
I hate to ask but the 35 pages is tough to weed through.

The rather annoyed girl from the yacht club said marina is $60 overnight and electricity is $15 ( for 50amp).

No reservations for Harbor Towne. @Betik communicated with them and found that their price has gone up to $15 per night. May see if we can get a group rate from them.

We are waiting to see how many confirm condo reservations before negotiating with Bahia Mar Yacht Club.

Wait for the discount it will be less.

60 for overnight mooring? Good lord...

I called Harbor Towne and confirmed the increase from $10 per night to $15. Speaking to security they said I should call back two weeks before our trip and they might be able to reserve some space for us.

Harbor Towne is very secure and I believe the largest similar facility in the area with 70 truck and trailer parking spots.

Bahia Mar Yacht Club is always expensive but has always given us a group discount in the past.

The DoubleTree/Hilton is built into the marina and has reasonable rates for the area.

I have asked the Vander Werf family who organize the Bimini Toy Drive if they would recommend other faciiites in the area. I have researched options in the past but always found these to be the best options.

anyone bringing a drone?

I plan to and hope to get some good pictures and video footages! Would be awesome to do a group shot right outside of the bimini sands!

@MazzyDan, it just hit me this morning. Check your life jackets to make sure that they are uscg approved.
