@Drift Away, unless that house is an amazing deal I would cancel it and join the group at Bimini Sands. The guys who tried to save money staying away from the resort last year had a terrible experience with the swarms of biting insects.

We had 7 stay in a one bedroom loft and with the dock and condo it came to $190 per person for the whole trip we did not use the water on the dock though

Prices for this year are yet to be determined with the new management but I am expecting our rates to be similar to last year's which @Ramblin Wreck linked to. A 1 bed with a loft is basically a two bedroom unit with one private bedroom, one semi private bedroom and two bathrooms.

Even if Bimini Sands was $100 a night more than a house on the canals the view, docking, lack of biting insects and closeness to other jetboaters is well worth it.

No doubt. We didnt' get to hang out with everyone at the pool every night like we had hoped, and the bugs were definitely far worse down south of the condos. It had a few perks, but I doubt I'd do it again. Even 99% deet didn't phase them buggers.

They keep on posting the info about how cheap the ferry is, I'll jus ferry over & crash the party.

I'd love to be able to interview the first-timer's & see their faces. I believe it took my crew from time we got to Bahama water till we got to the dock to close their mouths in awe how gorgeous it was. The 2+/- hrs of screaming "I was nuts" beforehand made it worthwhile.
