Yes we only lost sight in between waves. Climbing waves we would slow down then surf the front of them. It was exciting. My wife didn't feel a thing on the bean bag and neither if else ever felt in danger. I think the bean bag on a jet boat for a few people would be awesome and make families happy!
In all my excitement lately but what is this bean bag mod you got going on? I mean, my kids would probably think that is a riot but wouldn't it get wet and ruin it? LINKS PLZ!

@2nazt glad you made it safe. If you see the guys on skis there they are members on Greenhulk I talk to every once in a while tell them Broncosguru7 said hell of a crossing they said it was 6-8ft and nasty as well. The pulled through but several admitted that they had debated turning around a few times.

@Speedling they are bean bags for the marine environment. I highly recommend not getting west marine and spending the extra 30ish dollars and getting an ocean tamer. https://www.ocean-tamer.com. Or an e-sea rider. https://www.e-searider.com they take up a little room but if you only have maybe two people it would be worth it for the family comfort upon arrival then leave them on the patio or where ever tilll going back. The beans aboard 95% of the impact and all they feel sitting on the back is the slowing down and speeding up.

My wife asked why I kept asking if she is okay until she finally stood up by me and then she went back to the after we crossed an 8' at 24mph. Lol. We are only borrowing this one but they are already being budgeted for!

@robert843 there are 6 skis parked across from me on the north side of the sands. I'll stop and say hi if they are out in a few hours.

We caught the wahoo a mile south of the sands in like 260' of water and the mahi right north of the sands we went west to 150' cut north and he was on trolled north to the end of the island and came back. Just a purple black popper with a rigged ballyhoo. Also caught 2 cudas heading north

@2nazt Nice job with the Purple/Black cup head w/Ballyhoo! Nice Hoo! Marina is finally replacing my riggers next weekend. When you get back let's hook up again and drag some lines!

I wanna fish !
If it weren't for this job thing i'd be fishing now, with the wave forecast and Full Moon it should be good...

Well no luck today with the fish but fed the stingrays and swam with a baby bull shark that was in the cove. He came quick when he smelled the dead fish I was swimming with to feed the rays. (My wife did not enjoy that part l, but she swims fast). Flat waters and not looking forward to leaving tomorrow. Now off to Alice Town for a walk, Bimini bread, and maybe dinner at BGC.

Well gents, as I may have last replied, I closed my old companies and shut it down creating a whirlwind of excitement and stress for me. In. The interim I opened a new business restoring early broncos and while any new business venture starts off crawling, this one is finally starting to gain traction but there is no way I can muster the cash for the trip this year. Now if things keep going as planned and forecasted, it should be a completely different take come next ( though I could use a great vacation soon) . Right now we are making plans for next years crossing so we can save when it is convenient rather than trying to raise several K in a few months. I am looking forward to all of the adventures of this summer already with some lake adventures and island camping.I hope the winter has left you all hungry for the sun as much as it has to me. Parts are on order to get the boat back in the water, oil changes etc. and lots of elbow grease to get our Hyde Away back on the water in just a few short weeks.

What time are you departing tomorrow? I'd like to follow your journey again and I'm sure others will as well.
