Just bought Yamaha Jet Boat

Our tax department woman asked me about the trailer, I said it was hard to put a price on it because it was a package with the boat, so I valued it as $1000. She came back, charged me $6.00 and changed the value to $40.00

$40? LOL. I'm going to change my value when I go back to complete my trailer registration.

Did your seller sign the odometer part on the title? I just don't undestand how that is even applicable.

My shipper texted and said he was near Nebraska. I'm assuming he should make it to my home tomorrow sometime.

Been following your journey @dansshin and I can't wait to see the pics of your new boat.

Im sure you're already covered this, but Don't forget to check your trans fluid when you finish adding the cooler. It should require a few extra quarts since you increased the capacity by adding the cooler.

@itsdgm Thanks Dennis. Previous owner took bunch of photos before he gave it to the shipper. I posted it on page 8, not sure if you saw them.

Yeah but if you're like me, In the back of my mind, I never know if this is going to show up.

Wow! Are you saying your boat got damaged during shipment? Did the shipper's insurance cover that?

I think he might be saying the deal you got seems almost too good to be true. . . . and any purchase requiring shipment of such a high dollar item sight unseen has a certain level of risk. We are all hoping for the best for you, but have heard nightmares like the one pictured above.

I see...

I was nervous about that as well but after talking to the seller I felt I could trust him. Coinstantially after I talked to him I also stumbled on to his YouTube videos of the boat that I purchased and facebook page and saw that he is a doctor that has clinic that helps kids/people with autism or ADHD. Pictures and videos I saw from this just reaffirmed his story about condition of the boat, where he used it, and him having sea and fresh water boats. He never mentioned about these videos or what he did for living during our coversation.

I know there is aways "too good to be true" and chance to get scammed but I do feel comfortable with this for some reason. I hope I'm not wrong...

Right now I'm more concerned about what happens during shipping. There is chance of it getting damaged during shipment, shipper taking it for joy rides or dishonest shipper could potentially swap parts out, who knows right.

I highly recommend getting on the water before the 4th- the 4th is a zoo in mn, especially if it is nice, like it is supposed to be. Get used to the jet boat. It is different, but easily manageable with some practice. Good luck!!

IT HAS ARRIVED! HORRAY!

uShip guy pulled in around 9pm so I didn't have time to take the cover off but just looking around the boat and trailer it doesn't have single mark on it. It's literally brand new boat. I'm assuming engines are in the similar condition but won't know it until I take it out on a lake on Wednesday. I'll try to post more pictures when I get a chance. I did finish my hitch and transmission cooler installation on my MDX so I'm all set to get this beast out to lake Wednesday.

I want to thank everyone who has shared valuable information, experience and knowledge with me to help with getting the boat home and I look forward to learning more from you guys!

What is the best way to remove and put on the cover? LOL!

Another question, is there a way to enable the trailer surge breaks when you leave it on inclined driveway?

WOOHOO! Im excited for you! Ive been out on my boat twice in NJ when I first saw it, than Saturday and today and guess what???? We're going out again tomorrow! Best thing about living in GA is that you can pretty much boat all year. Cant swim all year, but certainly can boat all year.

Fantastic news. . . . . CONGRATS.

@Port0222 I took this Wednesday thru next Tuesday off so I should have some opportunities before and after the 4th. Need to get used to backing up the trailer again and learn how jet boat handles.

Excellent! Congratulations!

As for the cover, best way is to remove from the aft. Unvelcro and loosen the strap. Fold it up in sections as you work your way forward from the aft deck. Installation is reverse of removal.

Have fun!

I will have my first opportunity on Wednesday but it will be more frequently after that. It's no good owning a boat if it's not being used, right! LOL!

Thanks you. Whole family is very excited.

Thank you for the information. I'll do that tomorrow after work so I can see the interior. I ordered bunch of water sport gear and they all arrived so whole family will definitely be having lots of fun with our boat. I got something for everyone!

Congrats @dansshin thats awesome. Take it slow on your first outing. Have fun, there's a lot going on at the same time when your out on your new boat for the first time. Go slow and be safe!!!

Congratulations on your new boat! Enjoy it and be safe!

Hopefully you have blocked off Monday and Tuesday night for driveway boating. It's the second best thing to being on the water! Cheers and Enjoy. Glad it all came together so nicely for you and the family.
