Lake Cumberland meet and greet!

76 falls

I am looking for logging and the best options are conely bottom, james town resort & marina and lake cumberland state dock. These are the best reviews that i can find, wolf creek marina is a NO GO! It seems like they are not that good at taking care of ppl and their loogin. I will be checking for rates and will be posting them here, for everyone to know. Conely bottom have a cover slip added to the rates and its walking distance from the cottages.
When I had talked to State Dock, the cottages were all taken but one single room. That was 3 weeks ago. We are in a Jamestown cottage because they still had stuff that would fit us!

Wolf creek is now owned by the same guys as State Dock as I understand it so they shouldn't be too bad, or are still improving.

We trailer, so the condition of docks is irrelevant to us.

The big raft up if it is the same weekend is down a ways. You gotta realize that this lake is big enough that you can add 200 boats to it and still find a private cove no problem. And then if you want to go party it up with a huge group, you gotta know where it is!!!

We trailer too, but I thought to be a nice thing to just walk out and hop in, but i guess we can work something besides that.

Oh, for sure!
I use it as a stuff and people hauler due to the kids, lol!
Easier to bring everything back to the cabin and THEN unload in my case. When the kids are older perhaps that would change.
If the houseboats weren't so expensive they would be an awesome option as well!

Oh! Thats a great idea though! To haul all the stuff!

About an 8 hour trip for me. I will be listening for final plans. I will let you know if I am able to work this date into my schedule. It looks really sweet!

Has Anyone done any reservations? I am researching to do mines any time now

Jamestown Cottage for me.
I know a couple guys OWN cottages nearby.
When I last talked both Jamestown and State Dock had lodging available.
Conley Bottom has different lodging as well but I didn't call for availability.

I propose we go to the Lighthouse Cafe either Saturday or Sunday for lunch. If anyone has a preference or another idea, I am sure we'd all love to hear it!

Damn, I 'm sad I'm not going to be there that week. Sounds like a lot of fun! Well, maybe plans will change. :-(

We usually go to laurel lake, but I'm sure we can head to Lake Cumberland during that time-frame. We live in Richmond KY.

Let me know where you guys are staying if u have booked!

So most of you have cottages, but has anyone else that's going booked a place to stay yet?
I will gauge interest this year and if there are more and more people interested perhaps next year or the following then we can look for a place that will give us a group rate or something.
If it remains a small group, I'm cool with that too!

OR, you all just give me all your monies and I build a big old cottage for everyone to visit.. shouldn't cost more than a million or so....

When I click on the [USERGROUP=25]@Cumberland / Kentucky[/USERGROUP] it just takes me to your profile page?

That's because I am the only person in the group so far.
Go to your user profile and go under the user groups!
Join the group and any other groups that may interest you.
This might work for you: https://jetboaters.net/account/join-user-groups
And THEN, when you click that [USERGROUP=25]@Cumberland / Kentucky[/USERGROUP] it will show both our names!

Done. Thanks for the instructions.

Well, I'm down for this trip and since I'm just catching up on this site, I will need to find a place to stay or camp. Any suggestions on where, I don't know for how many between 4 through 8 people.
