Oct 1st looks like it is going to be a good day to take a ride around the Isle of Manhattan.

My plan is to leave out of Stony Point NY on 10/1 at around 10am and motor South under the TappanZee and GW Bridges. Take in the sights down the Hudson, in and around NY Harbor, and up the East River.

All total it will be about 80 miles round trip (give or take depending upon how much we tour the Harbor)

Anyone interested in meeting up in Stony Point OR along the way?

Without video it never happened!

I thought you of all people could read. . . . .This year's trip didn't happen yet. . . . ; )

Not this year of course - too short of a notice. But I would trailer my boat to something like that.
I have places to stay in NYC, but would need to guest slip the boat. Or at least have a place where I can launch AND still find my car and trailer when I get back, without any membership.

I'm watching! Very envious.

The Marina I am launching from is where my dealer is. . . . .it's a nice trip down the Hudson and back from there. You could easily guest slip it, or launch and recover same day (which is what I'll be doing.) I try to take a trip like this every year before putting the boat up for the season.

Bump.

Trying to talk the wife into this... About 5 hours or so away from us. Looks like an awesome ride. Not looking good for me though, she's saying something about money not growing on trees or some crap like that :(

lol, I'm trying to figure out how to talk the wife into this as well.

So the weather up here hasn't exactly been cooperating. . . . 10/1 was a wash out so I pushed it to 10/8. Sadly it appears Saturday will be a wash out also with 67% chance of showers.

So after closely following the forecast I decided to take the day off of work and get out on this gorgeous day. Below are some of the sights seen along the way.
