I used to visit NYC fairly often (grew up in Fishkill). Never saw it from that perspective though.

Man, I SO want to do this.

There were a handful of very brief No wake zones on the Harlem River near seawall construction and under certain bridges.
 
For reference the whole trip took 3.5 hours with stops for some pictures along the way. . . .as well as a 30 minute lunch break near lady Libery.
