If you are talking about the directional arrrow on the transducer, the arrow points to the forward direction. This is a copy from the RV-200 thru hull installation instructions, we put in the Beneteau.
The one I installed was a 0° transducer. The one in the picture above is for a sailboat. They will typically install two, one on either side of the keel. The angles to compensate for the hull on either side of a sailboat keel. Mine is mounted forward of the keel, on a flat section in the hull, just one, and has one arrow on each side embossed in the x-ducer and it points forward to the bow. Picture taken at install.
where would mine have to correct ? its a 20 deg and the arrow is pointing to keel ( in other words ) directly to left of the location hole .. not sure if this is correct though

But I would imagine that different transducers may have arrows pointing different ways, no? If it says keel, I would imagine that it should point to the keel (as opposed to the type that points the the bow). I think.
