One picture of your last outing.

7 day vacation on Lake Lanier, I've never been there before. Rained first three days, then we had three decent days (cloudy, but mostly no rain). I loved the sand bars and beaches, blue green water, and good restaurants on the lake. Visibility is good enough for some light scuba diving, and the kids loved cruising the sandbars in 3 to 5 feet of water. I attached a few pics of our underwater finds. (I found the prop in 20' of water on a solo dive. Stainless steel, not a ding on it.)

Of course this Excludes the 2 hours of prep, 2 hour drive there, 2 hour drive back and the 2 hours it will take to clean and store everything.

No pics but when we got there my wife saw an old jet boat (2 seater, exposed V8 engine with blower).

1. She says “nice boat” to the owner who replied “oh it’s a lot of work” as my wife climbs into our boat which is a yacht by comparison.

2. A few minutes later, as we were about to launch, I say, “that looks like a hell of a ride” about his boat. He responds with, “yeah, it’s a triple digit boat with $25k engine”.

3. This was followed by him saying, “Are you familiar with this lake?” Me; “Yes.”. Him, “because that boat (my boat 242LS) is not going to do well with that big outboard hanging of the back.” Me, no outboard it’s a jet boat.” Him, “oh, it should do very well in this lake.” Me, “thanks, it should, I bought this boat with this reservoir in mind”, this has been our go to fresh water for over a decade, some of the staff, including the Sheriffs know us by name.

Not a boat pic, but we spent some time on the Ohio near Westport KY this weekend. Missed Christmas due to quarantine of about 1/2 of us. We're all healthy and vaccinated now, so we did Christmas in July at the Aunt's River House. Wife made custom shirts!

Looks like a great time. Love the Black/White on that 240. Didn't know they made that color scheme on that boat.

Man, that blue water with the forest on the shoreline looks awesome. Great shots!

Is it safe to assume those beads in the first picture are for the crowd gathered in the background? They become a certain kind of currency at a certain kind of event. Is that a weekly thing there, or is this a special event?

Either way, looks like a good time!
Annual Nudie Gras event @ Nudie Beach, in Milford, KS. However every weekend is Awesome! and Yes for this event "Beads are a must".

Did Harmon Creek at the Lake Cumberland Poker Run a few years. I figured it was something quite similar!

Moved from Wenatchee to Hawaii 2 years ago. Really miss the fresh water boating in North Central Washington! Fished for sockeye salmon on that lake in my yammy many times! Got in line at 10pm the night before opening day one year and slept in the boat right there on the road into the State park!
