100* air temp, 75* water temp.. other than smoky skies a great day!

Was out on the lake yesterday from about 1000hrs to 2000hrs.. fished deep, 80‘ to 100’, all day with down riggers with flashers and squid, then switched to large spoons for lake trout. No bites but could see them coming up to take a look. Went back to my favorite cove and hung out for a couple of hours where the water temp as 78*. Listened to part of State of Fear by Michael Chricthon, first audio book I listed to years ago.. still a great story!

On the right you can see one of my Dad’s old Penn Jigmaster reels.. .it’s over 50 years old. I took it apart, cleaned and lubricated it, put in new drag washers and I am having a great time fishing with it, the Penn Monofill 25, and the Penn level wind.

The 210 FSH is such a great boat. I kick myself for letting the family out vote me. Looks awesome.

Thanks @HangOutdoors ! I really enjoy it. Your familia is probably pretty happy with your set up though! You’ve done a lot of work on your ride!

Burned some fuel yesterday in Long Beach harbor. As you can see in the second pic, we did many laps in Marine Stadium with the kids on the new Zup board. Two of my three boys got up to standing by end of the day. We’ve put 30 hours on this AR190 in just the first two months with days like this.

Took a ride to Armature Works in Tampa couple weeks ago. Here a picture of my son and his Fiancée and one in the Hillsboro River looking at Downtown Tampa.

Since my wife has been banned by her Dr until the baby is born in Sept, I'm taking as many trips as I can to my buddies lake house. Last couple days were 11+ hours on the boat surfing and wakeboarding. Oddly enough only muscles that are sore are my abs. Only downside is these trips make me realize just how much I want a proper tow boat. As a family boat my 212x is perfect. When we just go out with the boys you quickly realize it lacks the big waves you need for proper tow sports. One day.....

I heard banjos playing!

@WiskyDan @906Tony @Brad460 this is the route leading away from Boom Bay Bar & Grill. Now that you have some experience with the clean-out ports, that place is worth the weed removal, once you get past the Deliverance vibe on the ride in! ?

Not sure if it's an "outing" but it's my first picture of the boat officially mine! Just bought her, swapped her over to a new trailer and snapped a pic before the 4.5 hour ride back home! She's been sitting a year so not quite ready to run until I go through it! SO EXCITED!!

First day out in the new boat. Had a lot of trouble reloading on the trailer, but the boat performed great! My wife's name is Georgette so I had to name the boat "George Jet". Going back out today to practice my low speed maneuvers, and get some more sandbar time.

Headed to Downtown St. Pete for dinner and the light show celebrating the 1 year anniversary at the new pier. Caught the Petty Experience at the Witch and Ale. Really good band that played all Tom Petty hits.

@Brad460 @drewkaree You guys missed it today at the EAA - big military day.

Started off with a C-130 Hercules and a pair of V22 Ospey’s.

Followed by a pair of F-15 Eagles and an F-16 that performed for about an hour - my pics kinda stink.

It was an awesome display of power - god bless those that protect our freedom.
