Not one but a few.

filled up at the local marina this morning. Authorized $200 only to find the pump was pad locked.



It’s the first time I’ve taken it out of its sloop in over a month. I assumed there would be a thin scum line around the boat, I was wrong.

I ended up at a local marina and my windshield just shattered for no reason while I was in theboat But had my back to the glass.

I spent a few minutes after that looking for lightnj g clouds on a hot and sunny day and wondering what I did to who for the god of karma to kick me in the nuts and follow up with a punch to gut.

This is a strange one……. We were on our way to our favorite lake and cabin (our cabin is about a half hour away from the lake). We rented a slip to save ourselves from towing each day back and forth. Well, we got news of a forest fire on the way Friday and we’re told the town was being evacuated and we. couldn’t go to our cabin. What did we do? Boated anyway and stayed with friends at their cabin for the price of a boat ride! Just figured…..”why stress, we can do nothing but wait and see and listen to conflicting information any ways”. This was at 4 in the afternoon 40 miles from the fire on a cloudless day and that is the sun at the end of the.video. Smoky good time!

Took the boat down to Atlantic City over the weekend to coincide with the boat show, and stay over for my birthday. Had planned all summer to run down the coast, but unfortunately an offshore storm left a forecast for 5-6' seas, ran up the ICW instead which turned out to be a nice ride.





Unfortunately for my wallet, I think I found my next boat (and the wife agreed).



This one was nice too, I guess....

These may be pics of my last time on the water this season. If so I’m fine with it as we had a great time for an hour long boil water session on the Waverunners It really helped make up for the day from hell I had yesterday, I didn’t want to end the season with yesterday’s experience. Today everything ran perfectly we were in the water within 10 minutes of leaving the house and back in the house within 5 minutes of leaving the water.

What was the water temp right now up there?

I forgot to look but I would guess high 60s may 70. Air temp was mid 70s. We were hanging out at a beach just south of this location and it was a little cool, but we are used to cooler water I guess. It’s Getting to be the end of our ”beach”season here.
