Really?!?!? That's awesome to get your feet under you like that, looks like a friend in the other boat? I know we're all a bit nervous the first time. What were you using, I didn't see any fenders between you two?
For others, what worked, and what do you want to try differently next time?
Now that you got that out of the way, bigger tie ups get more and more fun!
Yeah it was a good buddy. We finally got together in the water. Funny you can't see them, but we had 2 large fenders in between us. Probably could've added one to the bow, but it turned out fine.
Where's that, Beaufort? We normally go to the public ramp in Morehead when we go over that direction. We were planning to do that the week of the storm. So sadly we didn't make it down there this year.

Yup it down at the end of the waterfront road on Tayler Creek in Beaufort . Our experience is get there by 9 am to beat the rush of boneheads. We usually head to shack then when we had enough sun we cruise back up Tayler Creek to the waterfront, tie up and get something to eat.

Awesome! Yeah I know what ramp you're talking about. I've seen it 1000 times, but never used it. Oddly enough we grew up on the coast, but I've never once taken a boat to a restaurant on the water there. No idea why I didn't. Used to run all around those sandbars and the ones near Emerald Isle, Bear Island, etc with an 18' Glastron trihull. Would have been a perfect little boat to tie up and eat at places.

Sorry to be off topic here, but where did your get your custom graphics? I had an anchor mishap this weekend and now need to replace mine and would like to customize. Seems Jet boat pilot is not selling them any longer.
Thanks in advance.

Mine were from @JetBoatPilot . That sucks they're not doing the impact graphics anymore. Guess they didn't sell very well? I was able to buy the OEM graphics still as of last year for my 2020, but they were crap so I opted to go a different route. If you're satisfied with your graphics you an likely order them from boats.net or another parts place that sells OEM yamaha parts.

Called them this am, and they will still do them...at a higher price point she said...and they are more custom, thus the website removal.
I sent a sketch and picture of what I want, just waiting for a quote.
I would like to know the process of how you installed, trouble areas, how to remove old decals, etc. but I guess you would need to post that under a different heading on this forum.
If you don't mind when you have some time, please provide some details of how you did yours and maybe some pics.
Thanks in advance from your fellow NC Yamaha jet boater !
