I can't get enough of it. I prefer to use the Yamaha - it's a perfect boat for it; unless it rains.

Why do you prefer the Yammie over your other more seaworthy boat? Seating?

- the Yamaha is simply a dream machine for light cruising, sightseeing, there is just nothing like it - between its maneuverability, stress-free operation in shallow water, open bow with filler cushions, and cockpit seating and storage under seats - there is no comparison with anything else. At least that I know of. It is, hands down, the most versatile boat, overall, fantastic for short inland trips etc., in good weather.

With the Yammie, I have fine-grained control over steering, can place that boat literally wherever/however I want to, even fighting some current, wind.

By comparison, the long-ish, single engine-on-a-bracket Parker - you just have to muscle it around; it's like driving a U-Haul truck - vs a go-cart, lol.

Now, once you're out of a river and running offshore - that is Parker territory; Yamahas are still capable out in the open, to an extent, but they do feel a bit flimsy and a bit lost out in rough water, it's just the nature of the beast.

Not the Yamaha but our First outing under sail this year. 16kts from the SW on our beam. Cruising to New York at 6+kts. Wife wanted to keep it flat with little heal in the bigger puffs. Just a few boats out and the one bass boat was pounding hard.

Took my dog out for the first time today to see if he was a lake dog, turns out he is!! Jumped off the float pads few times and swam around for a minute. Problem is he likes to bite the water for some reason, he does that in the pool and in creeks as well. But while he's swimming it makes him choke a little bit and worries the shit out of me. He was pretty freaked on out the first time he went in, but got used to it, he was paddling for dear life...lol

I’m on Lake Erie near Ashtabula. Probably the most frustrating lakes lol. Gorgeous when you are at work and then on a day off you check it in the morning and it’s flat with a south wind and then by noon when you are ready and get ready to launch it’s a north east and white caps

I got this second hand for $50 at play it again sports, the Sumo towable. It ended up being the most difficult tube to use by a bunch a 18 and 19 year olds. We laughed until it hurt 20 mins straight.

That “towable” looks like a legit drowning hazard.
