Attempted some camping and boating at Utah lake again this weekend. The camping was fine... as for boating... we made it out for a short cold drive and lunch on the water Friday. Nature conspired against us the rest if the weekend. The surfboard in the rack was just for looks I guess.

Let my 13yo take the helm all the way back to the dock.

Is that a 5th wheel? How did you pull that off? Getting there? I have a similar dilemma in my future.

We're blessed to be a 2 truck family. My '18 3500 Denali HD handles the 5th wheel while my wife's '21 1500 AT4 (3.0L Duramax) handles the boat.

Probably dropped 5er, then picked up the boat.
For this trip you're not entirely wrong. Utah Lake State Park is only 10 minutes from home. We took the camper down and spent the night. Then took my truck home the next day to trade for the other truck and boat. Then traded back at the end of the trip. We weren't sure if the spot would fit both. It does.

We've got a few more trips planned this season that will require both.

That's awesome....

I feel bad for my truck. It does 90% of the work and get 0 credit.
FU Boat. Let me see you get to the lake without me
Where is that gorgeous lake? We got no water up here in NorCal.....

Shaver Lake. Just NE of Fresno. Bass Lake and Shaver are a little low. Huntington lake looks nearly full.

Okay cool. My brother went to Bass Lake a few weeks ago. Didn’t even bother to launch.

I’m going to head to Don Pedro in a couple weeks and check it out.

I visited Comanche a few weeks ago on a pre camping survey trip. Only the low water boat ramp is open. There are a lot of exposed sand bars.

I've got a '21 AT4 Carbonpro with the 3.0L D-max as well... Love this truck!

That's a great way to roll, and the wife can tow ! Glad to see GM is still using the Duramax engine (Isuzu) I used to work on those, even though I'm a Ford guy.
