Ozempic linked to a doubling of sudden vision loss

I know a few people on these shots. Call me a cynic, but it sure seems like Injecting yourself with a magic skinny shot with "no side effects" is too good to be true.

I think our generation will use the "we didn't know it was bad for us" cigarettes excuse for 2 big things. Energy drinks and taurine. People who have slammed 2 monsters a day for their whole adult life will start having total heart failures at like 40 at a high rate and doctors will be stumped until someone notices that they all were habitual energy drink consumers. Artificial sweeteners are in the number 3 spot but I think we all recognize that those aren't good for us.

Artificial sweeteners have nearly zero evidence of being bad for you. Lots of biased studies with anecdotal evidence. Partner that with the reduction in calories, which typically leads to better health results…. Kinda stupid not to use them over actual sugar.

I don't think anyone has claimed these shots don't have any side effects. This is another imaginary straw man.

Its all fucking poison.
You'll look great in the pine box

A well articulated opinion based upon education and research, I'm sure. Sucks we all end up in a pine box, eh?

I get all that, and i dunno, maybe they're ok, but I've lost a lot of faith that stuff that's claimed to be healthy really is. Calorie reduction, sure, that's a good thing, but I am still skeptical of it all.

Personally we're trying to move towards a less processed diet. We have a set of Publix cupcakes in the office as a science experiment right now. They expired at the beginning of the month, and haven't started to mold yet. That worries me, lol.

The fact that these come with an actual "laundry list" of side effects would disprove your point.

People will read them, or not, and must weigh the risk they're willing to take vs the perceived benefit, which is the decision behind many things, such as a can of beer, for instance.

Painting it as a "magic skinny shot" is accepting everything you've read on it, seemingly without much perceived attention or doing much research on the drugs, as that statement doesn't acknowledge or consider the benefits to others for reasons that you never mentioned.

I anxiously await your recipe for avoiding the pine box. When will you be selling your boat, given the risks of ending up in the pine box if you continue to use it?

I don't use it.
Do not eat fastfood pre-made store food
No sugar , no store bread
No vegetable oils
If it has something you can't pronounce in the ingredients don't buy it.

I think you missed the sarcasm in calling it that. My SIL is on it and she basically shits her brains out every time she eats. I just think we're going to find out there are severe consequences from the shot that weren't mentioned up front.

That said, I suspect for the people who are obese and actually need it, the benefits outweigh the risks. It's all the people who are otherwise healthy but just lazy and eat like shit that will be the ones that suffer for taking it

I dont know much of these new weight loss shots, but i thought they target roughly 30 to 40 pounds of weight loss am i wrong. Like i said i know nothing about it but the commercial for one said some have lost up to 45 lbs. So if thats the case is someone is 200lbs overweight how does it help. Not saying 45 lbs is not a lot of loss but seems if that is the case it is ment for people who are slightly overweight.
What are the real world numbers?

I can honestly say the only organic item I consistently put into my body is agave in the form of a clear liquid that makes me not give a shit about any of this other crap.

Not necessarily…. Your heirs can dump your ashes off of the stern platform of your jet boat. Put it in reverse, and you’ll forever be a part of the coolant system!
