Cherokee has had the 3.2, its a downsized bersion of the 3.6 in the grand cherokee. Not a bad engine, but no reason to exist, should have just put the 3.6 in it.

Interesting. Guess I have't paid much attention to the Cherokee. I had a 2000 XJ back in the day. I now have a 2016 JKU that will be hauling around my 212x.
Finally got a pic of it hooked up as I took it to storage ahead of our next winter weather event now that the trailer is all fixed up. Yes it tows fine, actually tows it better than my FIL full size truck with a V8. Yes it stops fine. Yes it also cools fine, it has a pretty big tranny cooler running across the front grille as the previous gens had overheating issues once folks added winches up front that blocked air flow as well as added massive tires. As well as slow speed rock crawling they'd get super hot. Will say I wouldn't do this without air suspension. It has zero sway, and no sag. Can't quite tell if I need a longer drop hitch. My driveway is sloped and it looks high with 20psi in the air bags. When in a flat parking lot it looks fine....

I would agree. I searched high and low for this one. Eventually found this in MD, had just arrived on the dealers lot. Had less than 22 miles on it when I left the dealership. Really digging the Jeep truck coming out, but it needs more power. If I'm gonna get back into a car payment it will have to be a wrangler/Jeep truck with a diesel or V8. Doesn't make sense to get the truck that has the same engine as my JKU. New brake system on this trailer is amazing. Didn't take any additional braking to get this to slow down and the surge brakes were nice, smooth, and predictable.
I bought a new 18’ Chevy Colorado last May.
Strongly considered a Silverado or Ram - but I’ve had full size trucks before and didn’t want another.
So happy I did. I love that truck. Towed my 212x last summer 4 hours to Lake Winnie and back - it was a pleasure. Tow rating is 7300lbs. The 3.6 V6 is rated at 308 hp - with the 8 speed tranny - it’s got TONS of power. Freakin thing is wicked fast.
Not cheap though. I got the fully loaded Z71 package with Navigation, Bose sound, WiFi, leather, etc etc.
Silverado and Siera’s had huge incentives - like $12k off sticker. Barely anything off Colorado’s and Canyons’s.
I’ll have to post a pic.
Great looking Jeep. And your wife is spot on.
All our cars are white. Mine, wife’s and both kids.
Made it very clear to the kids - if I’m buying them, they will be white.

I do paint restoration and correction work on the side.....hands down white gives me the least angst. LOL! Hides swirls pretty easy. Not near as good as say a light silver, but pretty dang good. I'm a huge fan of white cars. Works out my boat is black and white.
LOL! My signature is huge. Need to shrink that down some.
In the detailing industry they say black isn't a color, but a career. Love doing black cars as they show the best when done right. However, it's a TON of work to get there. Oddly enough I didn't seek out the color of the boat. It just sort of worked out that way.
The tow rig is in Winter attire, salt sander with a 2200# load of saltsand, a few more months and the Yamaha will be back here. Oops, GVWR is 9200#, i'm a little over. Barely a squat.
Salt ate up the steel bed so i made one out of oak, off my sawmill, to hold the salt sander, hay bales and what ever else I put back there. Won't win a SEMA award, LOL, but she gets the job done. It only cost me $100 in hardware. Sawing the log was fun.
