My ‘21 210 FSH has been stored in a yard with the Yamaha OEM Cover, which is awesome and holding up reasonably well after four years of SWFL sun.
The boat, cushions and everything covered still looks great, but below the cover, which extends about 2”-4” below the rail, is showing oxidation.
In the storage yard the boats are fairly close together, but they don’t shade the hull enough to prevent the oxidation. I’m not concerned about buffing and cutting to restore the navy hull, but I am wondering if a second “full length” cover would help reduce the sun damage.
What materials, cover brands would be best?
Does anyone make a “skirt” that I could use with the oem cover to protect the hull?
Any suggestions appreciated…

I think @FSH 210 Sport has a generic cover that goes over his whole boat, I am unsure if it goes down that far though. I would consider finding a 20' tarp and cutting in half, fashion that to the gunnels and use bungee cords to secure it to the trailer? Place the OEM cover back over the top to lock it all together. Just a thought, not entirely sure if there is a market solution for the problem.

I’ve seen a picture of his cover and several in our storage yard on T-Tops and they don’t appear to cover enough of the side of the hull.
A uv protective cover/tarp w tiedowns sounds like a plan.
Hope someone has some experience doing this.

My cover goes over the whole boat but only goes down a little ways on the sides, not enough to protect the color there.

I like @Dixemon ’s Idea of splitting a tarp to act as a skirt.
