Also, what are you guys using for covers? I dont want a snap cover installed because I think the snaps all over the boat are ugly so I was going to purchase the Deluxe Tower Mooring Cover from Yamaha's website (Part# MAR-190TR-BK-16). Anyone have experience with this? Is it easy to install without having to go in the water and does this require posts to keep the cover supported or does it just wrap the boat?
Colin, I have the Yamaha Deluxe Tower Mooring Cover and very happy with it so far. I made the mistake of purchasing mine through the boat dealer, however here's the link for the cheapest place I have seen the cover which would have saved me about $200. http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/oe...079834c7fa/deluxe-premium-tower-mooring-cover
I also have that cover and it is great ( so far). The dealer said it was the BEST one and they sell accessories at cost during time of boat purchase, so I went ahead and got it. I can install and remove it, by myself in about 5 minutes ( each)

@malibu Dan That was a cat, right? Wonder how does the cat look coming out of taxidermist.
I had those in my 190, made a HUGE difference. Fantastic for water sports, those really plant the stern in the water. Did you get the Fangs? I would highly recommend those as well.
Swatski, I just spoke with Jeff and he said that the fangs are not compatible on the 195's due to the rudder, he claims they would be in the way so I did the right thing by just ordering the Cobra Jet Ultimate without fangs.

Any type of damage due to impact would not be covered anyway. I wonder what would possibly be the basis for voiding the factory warranty, otherwise? There are many many yammies out there using aftermarket fins. Premature wear of steering cables? I don't think there is any evidence of it. Cables break but that usually happens after a boat is out of warranty, fins or not.
I run AKs w/fangs and second (extra) steering rod. Love them. Used to run Ultimates w/fangs, loved them, too. I feel that Jeff's products work extremely well and are designed for improved function.

Thank you. I'm looking at getting it for mine and was just curious if anyone had ever ran into any warranty issue and it sounds like there is nothing to worry about.
The warranty question has been asked many times over the years, There are federal laws that protect consumers from companies voiding a warranty. And in all the years I have been making aftermarket steering Even the ones that you attach with screws or bolts with holes drilled in the nozzles like my old style Yamaha fins never had a warranty issue. If a manufacturer wanted to exclude a part from the warranty coverage due to an aftermarket part being added the law places the burden on the manufacturer to prove the aftermarket part caused their part to fail and if they can prove that they still cannot void a warranty they can only exclude that particular part and rightfully so.
As to the fang question the keel behind the rudder gets in the way of the fangs so they can not be added to the single engine rudder 19 foot boats when adding the ultimate steering However the viper has the fins further apart and the fangs are built in to that system so the planing surface, the fins and the fangs are compatible with this setup on the keel and rudder 19 foot boats. I hope I will have a few of the new viper NK setups ready for trial soon I was at the laser company today actually doing some more design work on this system. The bad part is that there were only a few years that this setup will work for and putting all this time and money into the system is not really the best business move but it's my baby so what the heck. I still make steering for the old mercury optimax v6 2 stroke engines and pumps and those were discontinued many years ago. People continue to want them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson–Moss_Warranty_Act
Stereo Help
So for some reason my right side speakers are not getting power. I changed the right and left balance. I checked all the connections and the fuse on the back of the deck. Any ideas what could be causing this or how to fix it?

I have no personal experience with this but maybe having the dealer look at it.. You just got it pretty recently... I would at least call them and see how quickly they could take a look at (assuming your not to far away)
Did you ever end up getting the Yellow Supercharged decal for the hull. Now my dealer is telling me he is having a hard time tracking it down through Yamaha??? I might end up just calling Riva Motorsports in Florida and talk directly to a salesperson. Boat just arrived at dealer and i want it all set up before spring. Its only 3 months away!!!! I also just ordered the 3.5 Stoltz bow roller. Did you catch that post where someone added side bunks to his trailer for his 195? Pretty sweet!
The Yamaha website/order system messed up the Super Charger decals PNs. You will need your dealer to call Yamaha to get the correct stickers or you will get them in white. It took me 2 months working with dealer to get the correct stickers....seriously 2 months. Good news is, they are now on my boat and look sweet!
Did you ever get the blutooth to work on the stereo? I took my new ar 195 out on Saturday and I couldn't get the BT to pair up to my phone either. Also my clean plug wouldn't lock into place. Have you had any trouble with your clean out plug?
I struggled to get mine paired forever. I had other family members try their phones, watched videos, threads..you name it and couldn't get it to pair. Then tried it out of the blue one day an it paired fine, did absolutely nothing different than the other hundred attempts.
