My area is not to bad but dade county, people love it there. Gorgeous water, white sand beaches, nice breezes, night life open till 3. I don't get it. Thank God we're free with not a care in the world.Air Conditioning and tourism. In July Northerners are outside and Floridians are inside. The air conditioning produces cool dry air which the virus loves.
No idea, doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Defintely raises more questions.That’s my understanding. So why was it even considered for the recommendations here?

IMO that is the smartest move we can make, however, in my case it is either a great glass of wine or sipping rum.Wildfires, floods, eviction tsunami, Delta Variant, mass shootings...... I shouldn't have watched the national news. Went to the back porch with some Angels Envy Rye to remember life is good in Delaware County Ohio. ?
If I was not already vaccinated this would be much more than convincing.
“Mask up to keep it up”: Preliminary evidence of the association between erectile dysfunction and COVID‐19
Erectile dysfunction (ED), as the hallmark of endothelial dysfunction, could be a short‐ or long‐term complication of COVID‐19. Additionally, being ED a clinical marker and predictor of non‐communicable chronic diseases, ...www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
LOL, not sure where you boat but there is no "gorgeous" water in Tampa Bay (especially now with red tide). The water really starts clearing up around Egmont Key and south of the Skyway. Nothing like thinking you going to hit bottom in 13 ft of water.You just described where we live lol. Downtown St. Pete is pretty damn crowded all the time, well the whole county is.
I don’t know how any of you can make an absolute assertion of what the truth is. The information our government and media have provided throughout this fiasco has been worse than medical opinions during the dark ages.

“You are exaggerating a little aren’t you?”You are exaggerating a little aren’t you?
Regardless the media certainly is not a source for accurate medical information. They are out to sell advertising and will jump at the titillating points rather than the important facts.
Politicians also want to motivate you for their benefit.
With this being a nee virus causing a new disease with an immediate need for treatment. Information has rapidly emerged and evolved. The best information has been the consensus of peer reviewed journal publications. Non political scientists have made this their focus and provided good information from doing so.
Some points have remained consistent since December of 2019 for example;
1. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes CoVID-19.
2. SARS-CoV-2 is contracted through the nose, mouth or eyes.
3. SARS-CoV-2 is emitted through breath, spit and excrement.
4. CoVID-19 develops after SARS-CoV-2 spreads to the lungs and is the result of the immune system attacking the virus in the lungs causing damage to lung tissue.
5. SARS-CoV-2, like other infections, causes blood clotting that can lead to bad outcomes.
6. Masking significantly reduces transmission.
7. Eye protection further reduces the risk of transmission.
Other points have evolved such as;
1. Concerns about surface or food transmission have reduced.
2. Vaccine availability has provided a way to reduce the risk of severe illness ~150 fold.
3. HCQ has reduced from a 50% probability of benefit to almost 0.
Unfortunately disinformation has remained strong.
