Towing with Tesla Model X

It's definitely weird looking. Stainless gives it a DeLorean vibe.

But the specs and price are unreal. Top 500 mile range model for only $70k. I also love the 120/240 plug. Will make it nice to charge my Alta. Also the loading ramp integrated into the tailgate and the truck will squat the rear suspension to make loading easier. Definitely nice for loading a motorcycle, tiller, etc.

Terrible design! I love that they broke the windows... lol! It's a Deloreans redneck cousin from Back to the Future 4.

Not what I was expecting. Thought the presentation failed miserably. Specs are awesome but so many questions plus What does the inside look like?!?!?

I’m all for electric vehicles but that thing is FUGLY. To each their own I guess. I’ll be waiting on it to dethrone the F150.

They showed the inside. Rewatch the video. 6 seats and roomy.

And yes, Elon sucks at these things. Lol.

If they would have stayed reasonably conventional, with those specs it might have had a chance. With that design, no way.

Looks very much like a DeLorean on steroids.

My guess is the rolled steel "exoskeleton" limits the ability to give it any more attractive body lines. I think it's got a total of 5 body lines combined.

and with the saturn-esque "bang the door" example? The completely Juvenile "tug of war" test is similarly useless.

Considering the success of the worthless bulletproof glass feature, I'm a bit dubious on the towing specs. 0-60 and unloaded range aren't typically specs that one cares for in a working vehicle anyway.....at least not more than a cursory level.

Swing and a miss for Elon.

At least the interior is less fail than the exterior. Still a fail for me, but less so than the exterior.

Did he do any market research at all?

Wow.
I love it, I'll be honest.
To me this looks like a Hummer that actually makes sense.
Purely utilitarian.

No no no no no!!!! I waited too long for this! Sadly I knew this was always a possibility. Failed isn’t the word, we all just witnessed a murder.

I hate it for him because I’ll always respect someone who challenges the norm and he did that, but failed.

Ill still defend Elon to a fault but I can admit win a turd is a turd.

Feelin bad for Elon

I knew it was going to be polarizing, but this is off the charts on the "love it or hate it" scale.

I just can't find a spot in my head on how that bed is supposed to work in a day-to-day application. I even have a "less accessible" bed cover on mine, and this looks worse to me. How do you swing anything over the side? The ramp is neat, but is more sizzle than steak I think.

I love Caddy's "edgy" design elements, but the aspect ratios, and proportions of the vehicle in the Caddy line up are well thought out and designed. This looks like a last minute effort to me. Just not well thought out. Perhaps they wanted the SS exterior so badly that they didn't take the time to figure out how to form it into a good shape?

You might be the only one. But defying convention is what Tesla is all about.

GM dropped this today saying it'll be available in 2021.

Could not be more different.

Not really a fan of that either. Guess I'll stick with SUV for towing.

There is NO WAY this truck can go into production. He had to admit they missed the mark and start OVER! He forces this... And refuses to admit defeat... Could be the end of Tesla. And I want nothing more than for him to succeed.
