Any tips appreciated for those that did this install already. Thanks!

Both of the accessory switch’s have 5 amp circuit breakers if that is any help.
Ok thanks I haven’t read the manual I will do wiring tomorrow if its compatible with 5 amp I’d probably install in the accessories switch so I can turn it off completely when not in use.

I wired mine into the acc switch just due to the fact I’m sure I would forget to turn it off if wired hot all the time & kill a battery.

The accessories switch only come with one positive connector do I just ground the negative?

Put a fuse block in wired to house battery switch. When you turn everything off then it will be off.
Thanks but I want to wire using accessories there is only one terminal open I believe it’s positive about to get my voltmeter to be sure just curious do I just ground the negative?C28123BB-C41D-4949-ADFB-D79261DA3039.jpeg

I would personally tie the negative into that negative on accessory. No place to really true ground on a boat.

You can use the assessory power and ground to install a VHF radio. But if you are doing a GPS, you will need to run a separate positive and ground busbar straight from the battery. The reason for a GPS is that any voltage fluctuations will make it go into voltage safe mode and reset while driving. I learned this the hardware.

See pics on the assessory installation below:

Thanks, Its just VHF Radio that i'll be using accessories switch, my Garmin GPS is connected directly to the battery switch. And nice post, I will do the same for my wiring.

Hey Fatboyroy - I have the same unit and had the same question(s). Were you successful in the install... anything you'd change?

If you didn’t find this out already, they make connectors that go onto the blades that have another blade attached to it. So in this case you would put this “stacker” connector on the ground terminal of the acc switch, plug in the OEM ground wire, then add your vhf radio ground wire to the extra blade provided by the stacker connector.

Thanks I already finished installing last week I soldered the ground of the radio to existing ground of accessories switch
