I've been shopping for Goodyear Endurance tires for my trailer and the best I can do is $900 mounted and balanced. I have to pay a shipping surcharge, a special order upcharge, and the date codes are pre-covid. That's from Big-O Tires. Walmart has them for $132, but it seems their tire service centers are closed.

I could try Amazon, but I want recent date codes. Any suggestions? TIA

Any small tire shops around??? Usually they order/get them from a warehouse that moves a LOT of tires so you get “fresh” sets.

Sams club was the place to buy the last time I purchased.

Go to America’’s tire in CA or Discount out of CA.

I’ve been doing tire business with America’s / Discount exclusively for over 20 years. Get the road hazard on them for $20 something each, this is not a pro rated warranty. If the tire becomes unserviceable, E.G. sidewall damage, and as long as the tread is legal America’s will replace the tire, it will be $20 to renew the road hazard warranty on the new tire.

Thanks for the great suggestions!

Have you tried Discount Tire? They are all I use.....excellent service and prices!

Going by there today. Much thanks!

Just one more plus about America’s tire. I was on a trip once and blew tire on my trailer. There were no stores in the area of where I was at. The guy at America’s tire put me on hold, found a tire shop near me that had a suitable tire. He sent me there and told me to bring the receipt from this other tire store and the blown tire and they would reimburse me when I got back. America’s tire did just that.

I just bought 4 from America's Tires. Purchased the additional road hazard for the tires. No surcharges, no shipping charges etc. F Big O Tires

I hope this will be the beginning of a great business relationship for you. As I said before I’ve been doing business with them for over 20 years.

I had a similar experience up in Moab.
Managed to cut a tire and then also my spare on a hidden chunk of metal on the road to our campsite. No Discount Tire up there so I called the one at home to see what to do as I had road hazard warranty. They had me get a used tire locally to get home and reimbursed me when I brought them in.
Customer for life.

Got 4 new Goodyear Endurance tires today from America's Tires. They ordered them on Friday installed them today. I can't speak highly enough of their customer service. Outstanding! Highly recommend. Thanks again.

Glad you had a great experience with them! That has been my experience with them for over 20 years.

I have been thinking about getting those. Right now I have the Bias Ply that came stock. With towing it down to Florida this summer, about 1000 miles, I am heavily considering switching over. Then I need rims probably as well. It never ends. I don't know much about tires.

@RobbieO Looking forward to your thoughts as you start to use them.

You will notice how much smoother the towing is… I mean A LOT SMOOTHER. I put mine on my stock rims.

Oh you know rims are not a "need" thing. More of a "lets make it look pretty" thing. Order up the same dimension as stock in your new flavor of tire and get them mounted/balanced and you are ready to rock.

New tires without new wheels, that sounds almost un-American. :)

I hear ya. But my boat is no longer a trailer queen. If it's on the trailer, it's in the pole building. Otherwise, it's on the lift and the trailer sits empty. I also have a galvanized trailer, and there are very few rims that will make that thing look good.

Painted can be made pretty, but can get ugly. Galvanized will be the same ugly for as long as you own it.

It probably won't be for a few weeks, but I'll let you know. I brought the wheels to the tire store, so I didn't tow the trailer.

Forgot to mention that the date codes are 0122. So I guess Goodyear started making them again. It was rumored that they stopped making them for awhile and prioritized passenger tires due to supply chain issues. I'm good to go.
