Yamaha 27'?

So any takers on top speed of this thing? I'm gonna go with 58 mph. Scarabs hit 60+ but they also have a bit more hp than twin SVHO's will.
I'll say 53-54 mph stock, and 62-63 mph with a tune.

I don't think the fuel burn will be as bad as everyone is thinking. Yes WOT will burn an incredible amount, but low speed cruising will be ok. A 75 gallon fuel tank would likely be adequate.

Yes I mean only at WOT. I actually get decent fuel efficiency if I cruise at 23 mph or so. Can't remember what my gph was but it wasn't bad.

I bet advertised 55 mph reality 52.
75 gallon would probably be a sweet spot for most but 100 maybe?
Wonder if all this means yacht certified? Or a normal capacity sticker?
Fridge built in on some models?
Fresh water sink to compliment the deck wash off?
A very usable head?
Looking at the 25-27' sea rays available lately there is a very tough compilation market there. It's a different boat altogether.
Glad to hear the hard top. Could be a big plus or it could be just weight. Will be fun to watch and see!

I'm very excited about this boat. We have been looking at upgrading, but haven't found anything we like and really don't want to give up the jet drive. Probably won't be able to make it happen this year. Maybe next fall when someone gets tired of their boat payment .

Hard top makes easier to have an enclosure made...if the hard top covered standard area over helm and some of back seats would be nice to see an integrated telescoping bimini that stretched over swim deck seating

Me too! (No hashtag, lol)

But I do have a lot of questions. A 75gal gas tank will not last very long, for example wake surfing.
Lots of questions! Very exciting I must say.

Put me down for <50 mph real world

...

The hinckley 29 with the optional 410hp and a single Hamilton jet is good for 35 knots with a listed dry weight of 7500 pounds.

Yamaha to announce a 27ft. Supercharged Twin Engine - March 2019.

Announced and available in March? Or, just announced and released to dealers for sometime later.

The St Louis show is in Feb, so I guess it won’t be there for sure.

I wonder if they will offer in a sun sport type of model?
We have very little use for the space in front of the windshield 90% of the time and used to utilized other people's cuddy more/better than open bow.
Not that I can afford any of this, but it would be cool.

I would tend to agree, the space up front is pretty much "just right". I could see another 6-8" over my 23ft, anything more would be a waste.

I would want predominantly the rest of the space behind the captains seat. If it were to have a smaller swim platform and a larger sunpad, thatd be great too, though i dou t they do that to differentiate from rotax powered options.

The 2020 Yamaha Jet Boats Dealer meeting will be held in August 2019 at the Bahia Mar Resort on Nassau Island in the Bahamas. The on water reveal of the new 260/262 platform could not happen in a more beautiful place! I expect we will be riding and posting videos of the new 262 and new 240 FSH that everyone has been asking about! A little bird was tweeting something about a 195 FSH and hopefully a 212 FSH. I have my fingers crossed about getting a 195x (WakeSurf Edition) the new 2019 190/195 hull is fantastic and the room inside is huge. Built in ballast, fly by wire GPS speed control and of course A WakeBooster! A boy can dream can’t he? Only 8 months until we all find out what only Yamaha designers know for sure.
What models and options do you hope Yamaha adds next year? Twin 260’s in a 19’ boat? I’m dreaming again!

Saw that, seemed as speculative as this thread.

Yea I saw that too. What are twin 260's lol? Yamaha 1.8L engines are 1812cc. SVHO unofficial hp is 250. That dealer talks a massive game on the FB page. Surprised Yamaha hasn't put a gag order on him with as tight lipped as they like to stay lol.

I think he's referring to the boat length/name, such as AR240 or 242X. So 260 meaning AR260 or 262X. Although 27' is what I think we're expecting... the other models I guess need their own threads for wishful speculation.

I'm pretty sure the 260/262 is going to be the new size, like 240/242, 230/232, or 210/212 etc.

Wonder if that also implies they will not be releasing a new 240/242 model in 2020...? Which is fine with me, lol.

He seems pretty sure that a 260/262 model is coming. He also mentioned something in the comments about the boat being revealed in February but not available until later.

I'm referring to this statement "Twin 260’s in a 19’ boat?". In?

I see... I had read the post yesterday on Facebook and didn't catch that. I'm not sure what he meant by that? o_O
