Did you consider putting the cleat in rotated 90 degrees? Wondering if it would look better like that and/or be stronger? (Not saying it looks bad....just surprised me to see it sideways.

If it was 90 degrees, you would need the line chocks for sure. Unless you are thinking alongside the channel where the line would come out. 90 degrees, centered in the locker, wouldnt work well.

Initially I tried to have both the cleat and the ladder. If I was to do it again, I would drop the cleat back further.

On the 252 it's installed in the same direction as Mully's.20200915_181240.jpg

Talked to my dealer yesterday "tentative" delivery now pushed out until mid May from Feb/March. If it comes in then we'll miss the first 6 weeks of the season.

I'm still told "by the end of June" for mine in Tulsa. He said he got 3 in early this week so fingers crossed that they keep coming and beat that June estimate!

Mine is a small volume dealer in VA, they haven't received any boats since early February. Fortunately we have a second deposit with are large volume dealer 10 hours away. Can't do anything but wait.

Yeah the Tulsa dealer is high volume across a few stores but is 1200 miles away. I've tried (unsuccessfully) to double or triple down with other dealers but haven't found any. The dealer will ship for $2/mile which isn't too bad, and at this point I'd pay a premium to be on the water!

Understand that.

Was told that some of the additional issues were from not being able to get froam from a plant in Texas due to their capacity, and the ice storm that happened. They are still playing catch up from other issues.

I have a deposit down for an AR250 in Tulsa OK (1200 miles away). I put it down about 2 weeks ago, the guy said he had I think 8 on order. Should I have multiple deposits down? Give up and look for a different boat? This thread is depressing! :)

I put a deposit down on a new 2021 AR190 back on March 6. Dealer said Yamaha is giving no info on delivery dates to him. He told me it could be 2 weeks or 2 months! Only good news is he said I got the last one that he said was confirmed on his list of boats he’s supposed to get. Fingers crossed that we get to enjoy it this summer!

I too inquired about 21's and 25's today at my local dealers in Nashville. Both said nothing is available and all boats on order are spoken for. Both dealers indicated Yamaha is still having major production issues. I'd really like Yamaha to be transparent and say what components are delaying production and at least reassure customers that quality will not be compromised.
I ordered an AR 190 from a dealer in Knoxville back on March 6. He said it could be 2 months before we get it.

AR250 Delivered! Finally - Boat came in this past Saturday the 10th.... Hallelujah! Only 2 weeks off the original ship date of March 27th. Jet Dock lift setup was finished on Saturday as well - it was a good weekend!.

Scheduled my actual pickup for the 23rd. My dealer is taking their time with all the boats coming in and going over them with a fine tooth comb and fixing anything before the customer even sees it - they are scheduling 2 pickups a day (M-F) so 10 a week. They explained it is cutting down on a ton of issues - the "Prep" portion of the boat seems to really be earned right now - I feel very comfortable knowing my dealer is on top of this out of the gate. But they said they are not seeing (have not seen) any major issues with the recent 3 truckloads of boats - the ones that came in January/February had lots of issues (they declined delivery on 2 of them) - must have had some major production issues during the build on those ones - but March/April delivered boats have been back to their expected standards of Yamaha quality - minor issues only according to my dealer.

Still no covers though - so will be shipping cover for the time being until they come in. Just super excited for the boat and upcoming season!

Keep the faith if you are still waiting!

Went back and looked. Placed my deposit November 3rd - they told me at the time mid-April to early May so they were right on the money.

Still trying to keep the faith, but I'm scouring the used market at the same time. High prices out there, of course, but I've expanded the search to numerous other brands across boattrader.com and facebook marketplace. Craigslist is a cesspool of scammers.

November deposit boat on order since August .
