Boat Wax?

I am a Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax guy. But, y'all have me intrigued now. I just waxed the boat a couple weeks ago though. So, y'all keep this thread updated with results so I'll know whether to try it or not next time.

Update: I've been in the (salt, brackish) water several times since I last posted. No BS, this stuff (ReJex) really works. The only problem is, my arms are not sore when finished.

So Saturday I finally got to apply my Rejex. All I can say is if you want a shiny boat or car then this stuff is the ticket. My process included a washby hand, Compounding with Ardex VG Marine (Excellent stuff) to get out all of the little scratches from last season, And then the Rejex. I'm telling you, my wife did her hair for church in the side of the boat Sunday morning. The haze in my pics are from my phone, i am not a photographer. On all or the interior (not shown) and gunwales I applied a coat of Ardex Miami Shine. I think the Rejex will be to slick for my kids. The Miami Shine is absolutely the easiest wax I have ever used. The downside is it will need to be reapplied every 6 to 8 weeks but it protects real well.

Just regular carwash soap if you need to . If you stripped wax with dawn then put the rejex on then let it cure for the desired time (min 12 hours ) It should last 6 months. You will literally just have to spray it off and wipe it down since you are in salt. I just wipe the lake water down with a towel at the ramp.

My boats on a lift but cleans very well with a good rinse. I'm impressed with RejeX so far.

I bought this and was using it on my truck before I bought the boat. Coated the boat and have been happy! White boat so not as impressive as my dark grey truck but it is Slick!

Collinite is good stuff! If you like the 925 you should try the 845. Forgot all about hydro2 from carpro. I may actually pick that up for the boat. I do paint correction/restoration and ceramic coating installation on the side, so all my cars have carpro coatings on them. The boat is just too much surface area for me to deal with coating, so hydro2 will be a good middle ground once this 3m marine wax starts to show signs of wearing off.

I might have missed it, but are you guys waxing the bottom of the boat as well? I don’t mind the extra work, but it looks like a pain to get all the way down around the bunks while she’s on the trailer.

I might have to jump on the bandwagon. I'll have to buff out some scratches this year, so I plan on

1. Wash with Dish Soap
2. Use a buffer and remove scratches with 3M Perfect-It Medium compound
3. Seal with Rejex

Quick question, if the 3M compound has wax (all in one) would it be ok to use rejex on top of the compound to seal?

Anyone applying rejex with a soft foam pad? I normally use a soft foam finishing pad on a porter cable 7424. Any problem using the same for this?

@Michael Rasmussen, Before you buy the 3m product you may want to give a look at Ardex Marine VG 800. I just used it on a black FSH 190 and it did great. The grit breaks down to a also polish and there is now wax in it.

Rejex says their product will go on over wax but will not last as long because the wax breaks down under it.
