Ticked off a couple of projects today:

Installed a Gator Guard Keel Shield (still need to clean up the wax marks and seal).

Pulled the jets so I can swap the stock impellers out for altitude pitched. Everything was going well until Murphy's Law kicked in and I snapped the very last bolt head holding the port impeller housing to the transom plate. Tried vice grips, some liquid wrench and heat -- can't remove it. Even if I can, I'm worried that the transom plate threads are going to be stripped. Any thoughts here?? An OEM transom plate is $166, so not the end of the world...but hoping to avoid if possible.

Have A LOT of sanding and sealing to do. PO had her in salt.
 
I installed clips in the head compartment to hold the table legs as well as small shelf under the helm. I also filled all of the carpet snap holes in preparation for some seadek. Unfortunately, I can’t offer any advice on your problem, but you might get more visibility if you start a new thread asking for help. It’s easy for help requests to get buried in this thread.
 
Cleaned the engine bay and treated all the painted parts with Reload as well. Then coated the engine and accessories with CRC.

Ceramic coated the wake tower and soundbar with Dlux from carpro. I generally have all their stuff on hand, hence why I use it a lot. That and I love the stuff. Really makes that yellow look dripping wet.

Looks great. What did you use on the engine compartment fiberglass? Was that also Reload? Do you climb in or do you use a detailing tool/trick?
 
I started looking into carpro products last night, after @suke’s post. Looks like they have a marine sealant as well... but all of the variations of their stuff is a bit overwhelming. Maybe when time permits, he can chime in with a getting start guide for us novices :)
 
Red loctite should only be used if you never want it to come apart....ever, or heating it cherry red with a torch to loosen
 
Polished the boat with Meguiar's M205 and a foam polishing pad with the variable speed polisher. After polish applied Rejex. Looks like glass. Second year using Rejex. Highly recommend it. Apply Meguiars synthetic X-press spray wax after each use and it stays showroom new and no water spots.

Yup was reload as well. I have long arms and just laid on the engines. Could get to everything from there.

They've started a marine line of sorts. I haven't looked into it myself. Reload is a spray sealant, much like any other on the market. Easy to use and good protection. Not sure how it'd handle salt as I don't boat much in salt. I use PERL mixed with water at a 5 parts water 1 part PERL solution on all the seats. Best glass cleaner I've ever found is 3m glass cleaner. Soap I use meguiars hyperwash in my foam cannon and also in my buckets. Use PERL on the tires as well. Adam's polishes paint sealant on the trailer. Only real sealant I have that's not in spray form.
 
Full detail inside and out and a full acid cleaning of the bottom to make it beautiful white again followed with a fresh coat of wax on the bottom and then waxed the rest of the boat. Took advantage of a very low tide and lowered the lift down low and I was up to my waist in water but I could reach all of the hull so it worked out perfect. Cleaned and conditioned all seats. She’s ready for a fun summer pulling my wife and daughter around on the tubes and watching my little girl crush it on the wakeboard!

Installed the @Cobra Jet Steering LLC Super Magnum AK-19 Deluxe with Fangs to my 212X. There was a big difference in the amount the starboard side nozzle was angled toward the center than the port side from the factory.

We can't wait to get out this weekend to see and experience the difference! :)

I've got those deluxe fangs to install on mine - what size Allen key do I need for the steering bolt? Looked bigger than anything I have in my toolbox.

I'm pretty sure it was 8mm. I just measured the factory bolt and it's 8mm. I used the replacement that Jeff sent and I don't remember having to swap out a difference hex wrench.
 
8 mm is the correct size for the tie rod bolts
 
Mounted my Christmas present spare tire cover, and got my grill mount finished up. I bought a 2nd table leg and top from a member. Last year, I just used the mini legs on the grill and cooked on the table. This will be tons better.

Was planning on doing ribbon delete. So ordered the delete kit and also a new filter that doubles as flame arrestor. After realizing my ribbon needs to be cut out, I scrappped those plans but decided to install the filter anyways because it is marine rated and also quite a bit lighter than the previous one I was using. New one is the black one. Can also install a Riva waterproof pre filter on it.

I filled my new bearing buddies with marine grease, the blue core indicates how much grease is in them.
I also reinstalled the aftermarket Solas impellers. The electric ratchet wrench was the tool of the day for the latter job.
