I only looked at my boat as I got something out of the shop. Need to install a new fire extinguisher and monoxide detector.

What monoxide detector did you purchase? Was thinking about one as well

Fabbed up a new latch mechanism for my Glove box as there was only one place the wet sounds could go and offsetting it wouldn't hep SOOO...

out goes the OEM/Sierra Products unit and I nachined a couple of M16 stainless washers and added a stainless pull handle... works better than the Original LOL and doesn't interfere with the head unit...

do we get a trophy for fillin factory holes in our boats? I filled the paddle speedo hole in the keel, the anchor light hole in the starboard gunnel, the original fuel vent hole in the port freeboard, the original electronics box mounting holes in the bulkhead and now the the nasty seat back fastener holes... it looks like someone punched them with a ball peen hammer...

Because I'm very smart, I got one of those pullout racks (designed for a kitchen cabinet). Plan was to put the new battery boxes on it. Then I could just slide them forward to get to the batteries (and wouldn't need to do all of the building from starboard, etc.). Fit the battery boxes to a tee. However, when I got to the boat to install:

Didn't quite fit. I could have moved that bundle of wires on the left... but that seemed very messy for something I will probably pull out about 1x year (if that). So, I just installed the battery boxes to the floor and called it a day:

You are probably better off with your final solution. I put my batteries on a tray with cabinet slides a few years back, they rusted out a few years later. When I installed a third battery, I ended up mounting them all on a plank and added bunk slides to the bottom so that it would move easier instead of getting caught on the carpet of the compartment. What a pita over the years but still much better than the oem location, pretty much in the middle of the compartment.

So no side or seat back cushions for the passengers in the bow? F them? Just wondering as I placed an order for new upholstery skins a few days ago. This includes a bunch of skins for cushions I don’t normally use, like the filler cushions and some swim deck cushions. Your post has me questioning my decision.

Looks like you're trying to make your boat into a hot tub!

in 6 years no one has used the front seats except to get in an out of the boat at the dock.... less maintenance... I have seating for 5 in the cockpit... almost always 1-2 people and occasionally 3-4, never had 5 in the boat... I considered sea deck but decided just plain ole nuttin was perfect LOL

well no however I am giving serious consideration to a power striper pole... its all @Sotaly Tobers fault ...

Points for the creative thinking though!!?

Changed the oil and filter, lubricated the steering cable and changed the plugs. Productive day off the water. My friend sent me this photo from Gasparilla in Tampa a few minutes ago, asked when I’m heading that way… yeah right. I sent him the second pic back lol.
