Yeah, a little closer. 1150 miles for us🤣
Used to be 450 miles before we moved.

Boat is doing phenomenal in the chop we dealt with today on LOTO, absolute blender. Ran 30mph as well through it all. Had to make our usual stop at Paradise Restaurant at MM24. Had some rain when we first arrived yesterday so plenty of junk in the water but haven’t had to access the plugs yet! Absolutely love our 252SE!

oh and was able to see the damage my trailer bunk has been making.
last time out in texas, my trailer launcher/recoverer wife noticed some broken off, rusted staples on the top of the rear port trailer bunk! she hammered them down, but still need to remove/re-carpet.
guessing they're original from shorelander? or someone f'in around while it's parked at a ramp.
got a video, will try to pull a few pics off. clear water is so cool.

We've had an exorbitant amount of rain lately, so we weren't able to make it this weekend. Monday looked like it was supposed to be good. Headed out after work and got about an hour in before storms started to roll in. We live within an hour of a military base and there's a reserve that flies out of our local airport. So it's not super uncommon to see helicopters around here. These just hovered the whole time. 20250721_165551.jpg20250721_170527.jpg20250721_170533.jpg20250721_170538.jpg20250721_171222.jpg20250721_171835.jpg20250721_172355.jpg20250721_172557.jpg20250721_172830.jpg20250721_182834.jpg20250721_192029.jpg

It was a blast, unfortunately no pictures😱… next runs Friday 😊😊😊😊

Day one of 2025 in the books, after waiting nine weeks for the water to come down below flood levels only to have my steering cable fail in the first five minutes in the water. Put the dock in on May 2nd, and didn't get my boat in until today. Lot of eagles and osprey waiting upriver to have their pictures taken...

That's a great shot of a "golden" eagle! 🤦‍♂️🤣

There's two hanging out in the tree near my boat house, I'm guessing the mature one is "mom", because the other one is a year-old baldie. It landed on the neighbor's lift, and she posted a great pic of the "osprey" in the neighborhood.

I don't even try to explain anymore. FML 🤷‍♂️

decided to hit higgins lake yesterday...
super glad we did. it was warm enough that i put on mask and swam around in the crystal clear water...like a big ol swimming pool.

The family and I went to Higgins Lake a few years ago. The water is so clear. You are correct about it being like swimming pool water. You made the trip from Texas?

Beach day, a day off from work. Anchored in 5’ of water. Wife under the boat in the shade. 92° here.

Cockpit a lot cooler with the sun shade up.
