Engine running, no water from side.....

If there’s no water at any RPM, I’d be nervous.
Of course I would be nervous, too, no argument there!
The point though is, in a majority of those cases only the external part of the "pisser" hose/nozzle becomes obstructed usually by a mud dubber.

I have had it happen twice (no water coming out of a pisser hole).

The first time it was a dubber. Don;t remember exactly what I did, poked around the hole and the hose with something and stuff came out running with water. Problem solved, big relief, I was sweating bullets - happened right during my launch at Ft. Lauderdale for the 2016 Bimini crossing in my SX190, not the best time to have somethign like that happen!

The second time it happened in my AR240, was left on a lift in freezing weather, long story short water froze in the intake cooling line and an engine overheated almost right away as I was pulling out of the slip. Took me a while to figure that one out, now I never forget to blow my engines out of the water, and I have an automatic Pali engine heater for boating in winter months.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but want to say thank you. Had the AR 250 out for the 4th time this weekend. Launched the boat had my son start it while I parked the truck. On my way to get in the boat I noticed the port pisser did not have any water coming out. Tried some throttle, tried restarting and still no water. Opened the hatch did not see anything wrong. I started get very frustrated.... then Googled Yamaha pissser not working and it brought me here. A few minutes of reading what others had posted..... got a long zip tie out of the supplies and put it in the pisser and hit a stop.. dirt. Knocked out as much as I could had my son start the boat and the water did the rest and pushed out what dirt was left. Had a great day on Lake Washington with friends and family thanks to those who to the time to post and shar

Nice! This forum has helped me out plenty of times too. Keep in mind that that’s not the only reason water may not come out. I only had one pisser working last night but I knew it was because I had sucked up some debris. We were both lucky it wasn’t anything more time consuming.

Hey guys I am currently having this problem with my port side. No water coming through pisser at any rpm even with fresh water through the flush ports. Overheats after a few minutes. I am currently wetslipped and would rather not pull her out. I will try to snake the line as I have read. Is it the red hose under the rear flap by the plugs? Any other recommendations?? 2024 ar 250

Your problem is beyond the pilot water outlet if you’re getting an overheat, that sounds more like you’ve got crap in the pump or on the grate.

Did you at least check your clean out for debris?

If nothing is evident you need to pull the boat out and check the pump underneath and from the end.

I have tried. Both cleanouts feel and seem fine

Ok hopefully I dont have to. Im going to try to snake the line quick. Fingers crossed

Pull the boat and deck the pump underneath and the filter screen. That’s not what your problem is. You need to pull the boat and put it on the hose and if you don’t get any flow out of it that way.

Need some more info. Did this just happen? Has Boat been in the water for a while and it just started doing it?

This just happened. I use the boat regularly. I was able to get about 4' of a snake through the correct pisser. Which hose by the exhaust muffler is the correct one the red?

And when I hook it up to a hose still no water flow

Member @Hot2Go had a similar issue and he found what looked like some sort of a bugs nest in the first T fitting coming in on the bottom of the bilge back by the engine. The red hose is generally the flush hose from the garden hose. Are you getting any out of where the cooling water exits the boat by the jet pump and the transom?

Snake went all the way. Took about 15 feet
As I said, that’s not your problem your problem is where the water is coming in at if you’ve got an overheating alarm

It may just be something in the pump that you can’t see either way you’re gonna have to pull the boat to solve the issue

The sooner you pull the boat the sooner you’ll solved your issue and get back on the water.

Sorry man….

All good man shit happens right. Gonna be a slow drive to the ramp. Just need to find someone to help me. Again thanks
