I am pleased with it, thanks. I didn't get to oil and lube. But I got the plugs changed. I have changed plugs on these boats many times, and I had issues. Right out of the shoot, removing the head cover, I broke a dang screwdriver. Then I kept having the rubber keeper in the spark plug socket hang on the plug, and the extension would pull off. It caused me to have to remove the plug to remove it. So I siliconed the rubber keeper. Then the rubber keeper pulled out of the socket and stayed on the plug. UGH. Got em changed. But maybe I should have just used the yamaha tool set. The funny thing...I bought a new set of 5 spark plug sockets, because the rubber keeper in my old one was worn and wouldn't hang on to the plug.

I installed my gasket in place if using caulk under the clean out tray. Should make getting in and out of there much easier. Starting the annual maintenance now!

Wait, what? This sounds like something I need to know about. I hate pulling out all those screws to get the client tray out. It's there a better method of keeping it in place?

well, since I'm patiently awaiting my new fuel tank (if you're interested in that story view this thread: https://jetboaters.net/threads/need-a-new-fuel-tank.3635/ ) I'm looking at Sea Dek, can't decide if I should do a border or no border? I'm on the fence, but will order from Will @JetBoatPilot as soon as I come to a conclusion.

But, today I did pull the trigger on some fun friends for the boat. Two SUP's for the 3 teenage kids (and mom) to fight over. These 10 six boards are awesome for the price. I've been pricing them since last fall and got them at Sam's for $389/each.

Also in the process of getting all new trailer tires and a spare welded on.

Today I made some flag poles, the poles are made out of white PVC and are 2 sections. They can either be 10 feet tall or 5 feet tall. I will post a write up tomorrow, all in all I am happy, I paid 62 dollars in materials to make these work and they fit in the 2 inch rod holder perfectly. Here are some pics...Here one is at 10' tall and the other is 5'

I did a bunch of stuff over the weekend.....first I helped my buddy remove a prop shaft and install a transmission then I got to work on my boat.
Replaced the worn Hydro-Turf mats with some new stuff. Put in some LED bulbs, still have to finish the LED cup holder Install - put them in, just need to wire them.
New fuel filters went in and I stared at a jug of oil.....even thought about changing it and the filters, but I was hot and hangry. So I went to lunch.
Cleaned a bunch of stuff out of the helm locker so my wife could put all the new stuff she bought in there.
I vacuumed the rug. I glued a few things that had succumbed to the desert heat back in place.
Yanked two wheels off the trailer to bring home to my tire guy.
Oh, and I retired a couple of fire extinguishers....and I made a list of stuff I need to buy.
I want one of those flip up bow lights....

Well, well, well ........... I FINALLY git to report herein .......
Miss Barbie has decided the "pollen season" is now gone, thanks to all the rain we've had.
So she has officially Christened Miss B'Haven and said we CAN remove the bow and cockpit covers.
They sure did save the day and protect the boat from pollen, unlike last year when the 2013 went uncovered.
So then we washed the covers and left them to dry. We're supposed to be rain-free until Sat.

Then while Barbie "cleaned" ..............
1) I mounted the external, telescopic radio antenna. Had already done this on the 2013, and it soooooooooooo improves reception. You now get stations you never new existed. LOL !
2) Then we de-warning labelled the boat. It looks so much better "bare" with no labels.
3) Then we wired up 3 pairs, of quality JL MX650 CCX-CG speakers, soldering in new wire lead extensions. I have never cared for push on connectors. We have gone with conventional grills, not sport grills, which eliminates small children's probing fingers from damaging relatively-expensive speakers, when they little fingers probe through the grills.
4) Then I drilled, mounted, and wired up the Marinco AC receptacle and hooked up the new Minn-Kota MK330-PC on-board charger.

So all in all, not bad for a day's work. Off to get a bite of dinner, as it is now last 8 pm.
Gotta cut grass tomorrow, and do a factory recall from Lexus. So more boating may be delayed for a day or so.

First nice day in a week.

-inspected the boat for damages from hail storm yesterday (all was good!)
-changed oil and filters
-changed spark plugs
-cleaned up

First time changing oil, filters, and spark plugs in the Yamaha. I learned that there is no way to stay oil free. The first engine, I had oil all over the place. Got better with the second one. I guess it's a learning process. Not like changing oil in my car where I can pretty much stay oil free.

Didn't like the faded/off white color of my horn cover so I PlastiDipped it black. I'm digging the black.

Also replaced the little dry rotted bumper stops (or whatever you call them) in the clean out hatch.

Stereo upgrade is looking nice. Did you mount the mid-cabin speakers or was that done by your installer? I am just looking for some insight in how to access the back side of those panels for speaker placement.

I had done all the measurements and was pretty sure the JL's would fit where I wanted to put them. And I did let @Earmark Marine install those two speakers and the sub, as well as the amps and board. I did get a call of concern from Odin that it was very close. I just told them to use a King Starboard bezel under them if they needed more depth spacing. But they mounted without the need. I inspected the area from crawling in the side seat compartments and viewing over the wood bulkhead with a mirror and light, and from the helm compartment the same way. But I took out the throttle quadrant starboard and glovebox port, to use a jig to measure clearance distances. The starboard side was too tight and I had to go lower where you see it to get enough room without using at least an 1" thick bezel in that location behind the throttles, and I just didn't like that. The port side has enough room, but the glove box, that hit the wall there before and wouldn't stay open anyway, hits the speaker when opened...and still doesn't stay open. I am going to try to find one of the spring supports like on the anchor locker, to hold it open when open. You can get good access to the port side, the starboard is harder if you can't fit in the helm compartment.

I put in all 4 of my fender locks. It's going to be SO MUCH nicer now that I don't have to fuss with the cleats (that I feel are in the most dumb locations ever for hanging fenders).
