2020 195S Build Thread WARNING PIC HEAVY

I have that wet sound amp and the 4 kicker tower speakers with the 4 wet sounds in the boat and the the bazooka with its built in amp. I might see if I can adjust it as well.

Do it for sure. You'll hear a difference if it's not currently setup like that

Got her 10hr oil change, and maintenance checks done today. She's officially ready for the warm weather. Bring it on. Throw the coolers, life jackets, and boards and she's ready....

Have to do my 10 hour change soon also, how was it doing it yourself? Any tips?

Super simple. I have the oil pump from west marine. Stick it down into oil dipstick and pump a few times that's it. Let it stick it all out. Takes awhile to pump out. Then put dipstick back in, and refill oil through oil cap. Done deal. Super easy. I detailed interior while I waited.

Great day out on the river yesterday. Amps are all tuned up, and sounding amazing (without sub ?). Still a little water temp chilly at 70° so we stayed balls deep or shallower. Great time though. Brought out the good camera to start taking real pics. Here's a few....

Quick on water video of the sound system. Still no sub, but system is sounding AMAZING. I really do love this setup....

Question: I don't mean to sound like a downer or killjoy but does anyone with these loud systems ever worry about disturbing other boaters? I'm new to boating and haven't been out enough to know but I do find it a bit annoying when guys are playing loud music on the golf course or on the mountain bike trails.

Not a bad question at all. When you're out on the sand bar, or party cove you'll see that everyone has loud music going. Us with wetsounds are normally the loudest, but they are directional. Meaning the throw behind the speakers is super loud. Now if I was to walk to the right or left this same distance the sound would be cut in at least half. So a boat say 100+yards away could easily have their own music going, and not be concerned. However, most of us build big diverse playlists so everyone normally enjoys it, and saves their batteries. Not everyone sinks a bunch of batteries into their boats. So yeah it goes both ways for sure. If you go with something this loud you definitely gotta be the person that doesn't care. In the video above in particular you can see the are no boats near us (semi cold day), but in a normal day it's a full party with no complaints

Valid question. When we're on the move the sound is cranked as loud as I want because any boats or shoreline people I'm passing at 30mph+. On the sandbar I always just gauge the crowd. Families and kids, keep it loud enough to hear while within a few yards of the boat but not enough to be obnoxious. Party time crowd, crank it UP.

Same. If we cruising it is loud, and then at a sandbar or cove kinda judge the crowd. If there is no one there, its loud.

Sounds great man! Do you have any pics of your waketower speaker install? Not sure where to send the speaker wire thru and all your pics look really clean.

If you go back to page one you'll see where I went up into the tower. Fold the tower down, and on starboard side you'll see a hole you can go up right next to cable. Drill holes where your mounting your speaker first. Then just fish it up. I used bailing wire braided together at about 15' long...

So far we've been out on the Potomac and to Lake Anna. Would love to find some more great places to go.
I'm right by Sharks Tooth Island in Montross, VA. Fun place to meet up, and loads of sharks teeth! Let me know when you want to stop by.4DDA0F76-0419-4C78-9CAA-7C1802063D1B.jpeg

Got her out yesterday. Started out looking ugly cloudy, and 69°.......

1(2).png

Turned out gorgeous though at the party cove. High of 76° 9+UV index. Water temp 75°. Still too cold to try surfing, but good for cove chilling.....

Ran in to the reason I went to the dealer I went to. This guy bought his 2019 212X and highly recommended the dealer. Now I highly recommend the dealer ?....

All in all a good day. Make up for not being able to go out holiday weekend due to a death in family. Looking forward to next weekend already

Everything looks fantastic! Did you hang the tower speakers yourself? Was it a challenge to snake the wire through the tower tubes?

I did install them myself. Wasn't hard at all. I used braided wire to fish into the tower, and needle nose pliers to fish the wire or if the holes I drilled in top. Go back to the first page or two of this thread and you will see where I went up

Thank you! I will do that. I must have missed it.

Gotcha. Yamaha still not putting drains on them.

FYI, if it rains while you're out. The bimini top is **JUST SHORT** of the windshield, and drips directly into the dash, which then runs down into the cup holders, and soaks the storage compartments. Same for the front bow area, and the rear seating cockpit area. If you get stuck in the rain, your compartments WILL get wet unless you cap those. I've had it happen multiple times on mine. Makes the formed gutters around the seats somewhat useless.

Also, be aware, there is no gutter around the anchor locker and it drains into the ski locker.......so if you sit in the rain very long it will leak enough water into the ski locker to be, well, a problem. Wife and I sat in the rain two Septembers ago for like 4 hours waiting to lock through. When we went to get on plane, boat felt sluggish....ski locker had about 2ft of water in it.

With the cupholders capped, the storage areas stay fairly dry overall, and we don't keep dry items in the locker anymore. We also now keep our towels in a waterproof container in case we get rained on. One of these days I'm going to build a camper canvas for it, but that's more pipe-dream than real project at this point.
Crazy design. The bimini should at least clear the windshiled. Seems obvious.

Thank you. I really need to order my replacement sub, but so much going on in my world I haven't thought about it

Had a great day on the water yesterday. Spent most the time at the cove, but did get to go out on boards. Gotta love the swivel feature on the rev10s
1(3).png

Surfboard finally came out. Got my brother in law up no problem. Didn't go so well for me. I need to teach someone to drive the boat. They either drowned me, or didn't give it enough power. All good though.

2(3).png

Did figure out the wave sucks for the most part. Stock that is. We had people on board, but not much weight. Ballast is definitely needed to full surf, but we are still learning so it'll come eventually.

Did suck my Damn surf rope up yesterday. Full suck. Got it cut out though. Little through the port cutting, and a little diving. No worries. Need a new rope though. Still gotta work out the kinks with the crew, and me.

6(3).png

All in all..... Good day on the water. Hope you all had a great weekend as well
