Every time that I wash my boat, water accumulates in the head compartment. I have no idea how it's getting in.
Also, the head compartment doesn't drain to the bilge. I've tried flushing out the area from the bow and from the stern. With the plug just forward of the engine removed, that compartment won't drain. I have to lower the front of the trailer and vacuum the water out with the bow down.
Has anyone figured out how the water enters the head compartment? I'd like to prevent it from entering if possible. Thanks.

I have an older version of the boat, a 2018 FSH 210, so I am not sure what differences there might be. First, to clarify terminology, I assume when you say "head compartment" you are talking about the center console where one can put a toilet in?

I've never had water in my center console that I can recall. If you have water coming in there I'd start looking for leaks in your deck drain lines. The drain line from the front floor compartment must run right along that area and could be leaking in there.

Do you not have a drain in the compartment? Mine has a drain toward the back. It uses the same style drain plug as the keel in the back of the boat. You should be able to drain water from there into the bilge and then let the keel drain let it out of the boat. Or, if you are on the water the bilge pump would pump it out as well.

If you are not talking about the center console, and in fact mean the floor locker at the front of the boat, the drain in the lip of that door is always getting clogged on mine. The way the lines run are not sloped enough and I think have a few bends in them. When I am washing up the boat I typically take the garden hose and shoot some water down that drain to blow whatever sand or leaves are clogging it through. If that is clogged up it is easy for water to overwhelm that lip and run into the storage locker. (That compartment on my boat also has a drain plug in the bottom that drains into the bilge. So it can also drain out without having to be vacuumed.)

When I wash my boat I typically raise the trailer jack as high as it will go to create as much flow to the back of the boat as possible. I sometimes even put some blocks of wood under the caster to get it up higher. The boat is generally designed to drain everything toward the stern, so more slope in that direction helps.

Let us know if any of this helps. If you had some pictures that might help us all understand what you are up against better.

Thanks. Yes, I'm talking about the center console compartment. There's no visible drain plug within the compartment. But, there's a bulkhead just forward of the engine compartment that has a rubber removable drain plug. I've tried cleaning out inside that plug, by pushing fish tape forward thru the plug and under the fuel tank. I'm wondering if the compartment is maybe designed to be a tub and to hold a certain amount of fluids in case there would be a fuel leak.

While in the compartment, it looks like it has a lip all the way around. So, I haven't thought that water gets in where the console meets the deck. The front bucket compartment has a floor drain with a single hose that flows thru the hull on the port side just above the water line. The bottom of that compartment has a drain with a hose that is supposed to be routed straight back to the bilge.

One day I'll have to start with a dry boat and systematically add water to different areas and see if I can find how it's getting in.

From what I understand about your boat, the water flows underneath that aft bulk head in the head compartment, there’s a couple little notches in the bulk head at the bottom where the water is supposed to flow out. Btw you’re not the first guy with a 222 FSH with this problem. I had thought the water was supposed to flow into the bilge from the head compartment, so that’s a Yamaha issue.

That other plug you mention in the forward bulkhead in the engine bay is for the fuel tank area if I’m not mistaken.

My suggestion would be to clear out the center console and get in there with a strong light and have someone start spraying water in different places so you can see where the water is coming in from, then you can seal things up. Not knowing your boat but from other things I’ve read, I suspect the interface between the center console and the deck was not sealed up at the factory. You also need to seal all of your cup holders up to keep the water from getting around them and into bilge.

Yes on mine water just sort of goes under the panel, around tank and ends up in the bilge. At rest or on the trailer the bow sits down enough it doesn’t drain. One launch and it all drains.
It seems to come from all the cupholders and rod holders forward of the helm. @FSH 210 Sport did a nice write up on adding drains that never made it to the top of my todo list.
Also in the forward floor storage there is a channel around the entire door which has a drain next to the port side pod. It’s under the door you have to open it to see. The drain for this runs along the port side pod to a scupper. Conveniently mine runs uphill a little in the gunwale so it doesn’t drain. I haven’t figured out how to get in there to reroute it. I’m pretty sure this causes overflow into the compartment which runs into the head
