Over the last couple years I have combed through several posts to piece together various mods. So I decided to create a post that outlines all the various mods that I have done to my 2017 AR195. Each mod will list the manufacture information and associated cost and reason/review.

3. Reasoning: In 2017 they only made a Black/Yellow and White/Red color scheme and I wanted Blue.

GatorStep Marine Non-Skid Flooring

3. Reasoning: Gatorstep is a locally owned company and have seen several high-end wake surfing boats outfitted. They were great to work with! You go to the website and find a local dealer and schedule a time to bring your boat in. They will make a custom template and provide you with different options. For example, if you only want the flooring and/or bow.

Exile Audio – SXT9Q Surf Tower Speaker Package

3. Reasoning: The dealership offered a Tower Speaker package and I really wanted to be able to hear the music while wakeboarding and wake surfing. Great product and very happy with the quick release clamps that allow you to easily remove when stored outside.

Samson Typhoon Swivel Wake/Surf rack

3. Reasoning: The dealership offered a swivel rack. It was important that the rack swiveled for easy use.

Stoltz Bow Roller

3. Reasoning: The stock hard yellow roller is known for scratching up the bow when trailering the boat.

New wheels and radial Tires

3. Reasoning: When loading the boat at times the bow roller would rub on the wrap and the bow guard covered the damage to the wrap and looked great.

Fulton Trailer Boat Guides & Pad

   1. I spray painted them glossy black to match the trailer and picked up 2 PVC cap to ensure the pads did come off.

3. Reasoning: Depending on the slope of the ramp, it was very difficult to see the trailer when backing down the ramp to retrieve the boat.

Additional Yamaha Pop-Up Cleats

3. Reasoning: While I was camping and moored the boat, I noticed an issue with the lack of protection near the bow and added two additional cleats on each side for better fender placement.

Gantlin 19’ Custom Transom Ballast Bag 490lbs (Fat Sac)

3. Reasoning: Based user feedback this bag places the weight in the right spot. I got the bag towards the tail end of summer and was only able to use it twice. The bag made a huge difference in the wake.

Jensen Marine MARC100 Wired Remote

3. Reasoning: Being able to change song and adjust the volume without having to use my phone
4. Note: this is not a completely flat surface for mounting. If you screw in both side as tight as they can go it will cause it to flex and some of the buttons stop working. Simple fix unscrew the far side enough to release the flex and after a few minutes the buttons started working again.

@swatski We purchased a new house last June and now I'm able to store the boat in the garage. So having such easy access and looking at each day has lead to some serious summer fever! I have following mods planned before summer as long as my wife doesn't catch on.
