Found black bolts and the jack is finally on. If they rust, I’ll replace them with SS bolts then. This is one hell of a jack, no worries now about failure of the cheap OEM jack. Thanks for the recommendation on this jack and all other members valuable feedback and contributions to this thread.
Take a look at your crank handle when you get a chance. Does it look like mine? I just noticed this today. The weld doesn’t look broken, just incomplete. I’m going to see if I can reach out to someone about it. If not, it’ll probably be fine... but annoying.

My handle looks normal (See pics) so definitely yours doesn’t look right, I’d reach out to them and ask for a replacement. They will likely tell you to keep this one as a spare and send you a new one.
Which reminds me, I need to order a spare because you know this is going to be misplaced at some point, just a matter of time so it’s best to keep a spare on hand.

I sent an email through Amazon to the seller - HitchWorx I think it said. I’ll check the box tomorrow and see if there’s a contact for Ark directly, too.

Once, early on in my career, I was walking past a newly-installed valve station in a process-line. The inspector had marked a few of the welds with the usual notes, but then on one particularly shoddy piece of work, it simply said "Blind Welder." I think that welder must have gotten a new job making these handles. ?
Anyone install this on a 19ft? This is next upgrade for me but worried about the fit. Looks like I may need to move the bow stop forward to get it to fit.

I didn’t on my 24ft trailer but some others did. Don’t think it makes a difference. I see people install jacks on one side of the split V-frame part of the trailer. I kept mine assuming it was balanced correctly from the dealer for the correct tongue weight on the hitch.
here it is on my current 24ft boat behind the bow post:
here is a picture of where my jack was on my previous 21ft boat/trailer. 10 years, zero issues.
I went pretty scientific on the bow stop. Tighten down to just before the metal plate bends.
On the XO bolts, “pretty tight”. According to my father in law, my “pretty tight” is more like “damn tight” for other humans... but I think he exaggerates a bit.
I put on a Fulton F2 last summer.
It's very nice, solid and looks nice.....
Honestly once I got it on and cranked it all the way up, it still looks a little weak to me.
It kind of has a bend to it when it's extended and just looks like it could break.
So, I decided to leave the original jack on as well....so now I have (2) jacks and piece of mind that there are (2) holding up my trailer.
If I had to do it again I would have just gotten a $40-$60 jack like the original and just had (2) in place that kind of "matched" and did not look so different from one another.
This is indeed the case. I had to replace my bolts, so I went with some grade 8 bolts, same size and thread pitch, so I was able to use the XO nylock nuts.
Moved the bow stop forward slightly and got it on. Kinda messed it up though somehow cross threaded a bolt on the jack and can’t tighten it or even get it off and managed to bend the bracket a bit. I will mess with it some more tomorrow, holds for now.
