I had my State Farm Agent check and double check with underwriting or whatever it's called that I would be covered. Didn't hear of anything on a size limit there either, but He said good up to the 75 miles so I wonder if same wording is found somewhere. I know there was a rider or whatever I could buy to go to 125 miles if desired but I didn't think I would be that venturous at the time.

I have spoken to progressive on 2 separate occasions. Your (Insert # of Miles here) coverage is only for US waters, as soon as you get to Bimini, that coverage is not applicable. You can get a waiver to include 125 miles and Bahamas, but as stated previous, 26' min and twin or more engine requirements.

Progressive is NOT an option. I looked, tried, called and checked again.

did you rental agreement include not having electricity 24 hours a day ? It sounds to be the landlord is in bridge here not you ( granted not his/her fault).

Because it says "...lakes, rivers, and navigable waterways OR (not 'and') Ocean waters 75..." 'And' would denote that you're in ocean waters 74.9 miles off the US coast and in US waters, which is impossible.

I have Farmers and they underwrite boat policy through foremost. They will provide coverage in the Bahamas. It actually says "Bahamas". The premium additional premium on 2017 was ~$70 per month. At the time my 2012 sx240 was insured for $30,000

I will be in Bimini on June 16th I will let you know the status of the basics once we depart there. We are still expecting to refuel there and possibly clear customs. Using Cat Cay as out back up but carrying enough fuel to get to Chub Cay or Andros Just in case.
