If you have SkiSafe for insurance, they don't insure navigation to Bimini for boats under 26'. I have to find another insurer. Luckily (I think), my policy ends 5 July, so it's basically a clean break.
I'm planning to keep going forward with this. I might bring (buy) a solar panel with me for charging electronics. Living in Florida, I'm pretty much acclimated the hot weather now.
It would be nice if the first group leaving in June could give a quick update when the arrive.

I have progressive with my 21 footer. my policy states I have coverage up till 75 miles off the coast. along with that I have sign and glide which covers towing.

you're half right. the default policy includes coverage for 75 nautical miles. the clause for dual engine + 26'+ boat is for the 125 nautical mile coverage.
I have the 75mile coverage and it doesn't have the fine print
It does state that the 75 miles does not include territorial waters of other countries. I guess, as long as you can get your boat back in US water, you can claim it. Otherwise, you'll be stuck.
If I am reading this wrong, let me know, because I've spent the day looking for insurance.

I have spoken to progressive on 2 separate occasions. Your (Insert # of Miles here) coverage is only for US waters, as soon as you get to Bimini, that coverage is not applicable. You can get a waiver to include 125 miles and Bahamas, but as stated previous, 26' min and twin or more engine requirements.
Progressive is NOT an option. I looked, tried, called and checked again.
Its too soon to tell, but I am leaning to cancel for myself if there is not 100% power etc. ANY kind of "work around" or load sharing or other non permanent fix will likely cause me to cancel... My crew will not enjoy a trip without AC, fridge power etc. I want them to love Bimini and I can wait a year if I have to.
I will make my decision before June 9th (Work thing) so that's just me. If it is still questionable at that date I will have to cancel.
Just letting everyone know where my head is at, everyone should make their own decision.
