The consensus is always read the Preparing for Bimini thread first, especially if you're a new boater, especially if it's your first time going (it's mine). The thread will give you an idea what's needed to prepare your boat. Tag @afsigma21, he's being the group leader.

If ok with y’all, I’m in with you guys! Reserved [USERGROUP=14]@Bimini[/USERGROUP] Sands july 8-13.

I added him to front page, make sure to reserve at Bahia Mar as well

@SlowDorado having a redundant bilge pump is a good idea for any offshore trip. I don't have a built in one, but do have a ballast bag Tsunami pump I take for my redundancy.

@robert843 that was a strange video....I have to assume they stopped the boat because they noticed the water or the boat was sluggish??? They must have had a heck of a hole if their bilge couldn't keep up, but I would think I'd keep driving the boat to keep batteries charging....unless their hull cracked?? Clearly they had no radio....which is f'ing stupid.....its not like a fixed radio costs much! At least they had an epirb.

I have a friend confirmed going with me.

I still haven't put my second bilge in.

I spent yesterday having to fix the truck's aftermarket stereo that wouldn't turn off, which killed the truck's batteries. After that, I changed the trailer's retractable transom straps, OEM were rusted and becoming non-functioning. Finally, I did an oil change followed by replacing the spark plugs - which I could only do on the starboard engine, because I couldn't loosen the screw on the port engine's cover. Anyone have any tips to remove the forward screw? Why was it screwed on so tightly?
