Bouncy Shoreland'r Trailer? Carlisle Stands Behind Their Product

So the recall states not to file a Yamaha claim does that mean you have to install the replacement parts yourself?
It's my understanding that the work is performed by a Shoreland'r service location, which could be a dealer.

I called my dealer today to see what was on my new trailer (take delivery last week of March) and it is the Bias Ply's. Told my dealer the situation (made aware here) and I gave my dealer the info for Carlisle to see what they could do. My dealer called back in under an hour and said that Carlisle will warranty them and they will replace and install them for me! YAY!! They also are checking into the fender issue/bulletin to see if they are all new fenders or just the brackets. Stay tuned...

Thanks to this forum, I have been informed, took action and more than likely, saved a lot of time and money before the boat even hits the water.

THANKS!!

I looked at my 2016 shorelander and it was the same way. I took it to the Yamaha dealership to see what can be done. I'll keep everyone posted....

my dealer told me they only replace if there is visible cracking, so I assume I to wait for it crack?

Initially, that's what I was told but explained to them that I'm not going to wait for it to crack just to bring it back in the prime of summer for them to replace it. Let's do a preemptive strike here and save the waste of everyone's time. So they are updating and fixing the fenders and tires. Not sure yet if it's just brackets or entire fenders.

My fenders and brackets had cracked and where replaced at end of last year. So they are new. Both sides. However not with the new improved brackets. I contacted Midwest Industries and then had my dealer call them and they are replacing the new with the new. Not sure why they are replacing the new fenders other then the brackets might not be compatible with them.

Another shot of new bracket. IMG_0515.JPG

IMG_0532.JPG I still replaced the cheap locking star nuts with the nylon inserts due to the very low tourgue so not to crack the diamond plate.

I am taking mine to dealer next week for the new fenders and they are mounting the 5 radials I got from Carsile last year but haven't had time to mount.

Received me replacement fender kits Last week from ShoreLandr. Also got approved for tire warranty today and tires are shipping end of the week. I'm going to wait to install fenders as I had already repaired. Thanks to the forum for the warranty tips.

That's great Markk. I finally got my new tires changed over last week and fenders done a few weeks ago. Now I'm all set for the season and not have to worry about fender brackets breaking

Got the new fenders and tires on from dealer. They do not rattle at all like the old ones did. Not sure if that's from the radials or fender design. But like.

Tires went on today. Fenders still in the box.image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

#Yamaha it would be awesome if you could fix this and perhaps issue something along the lines of a #TSB to your dealers.
