Count me in. The Wife and I were talking about this trip yesterday. She asked if anything was planned and I told her I would take a look. She will be super excited to hear that a date is on the books! I will be in Vegas for over a month prior and should return the first week of May. Hopefully I will have the time to get the new SeaDek installed prior to the run.

@ACrews are you window shopping or bringing the checkbook?
@robert843 I think it's time for you to personally stretch your adventure a little. We've got to build those sea legs for the summer ocean rides and yes standing in a boat counts as well. You know 12 hours on the boat and 3 tanks of gas sounds fun. Now Vicky may think otherwise. I highly doubt it would take much to convince @veedubtek to join.
Friday party at your local spot(s)
7am to 7:30ish Saturday depart from Myrtle
10am depart from Charleston with full group participants
2ish depart Lake Moultrie after light lunch and time hanging with fellow boaters to head back to Charleston
5:30ish depart Charleston after early dinner at Isles of Palms Marina
Even if for some reason I couldn't do the run from Myrtle @veedubtek and you could. You have done the trip to Charleston from here twice now so you know its fairly easy to navigate the only tricky part is that connection to the waterway in Winyah Bay in Georgetown. @veedubtek has done the run to McClelanville with me so he has gone through that part as well. If you guys left Myrtle around 7 am you would make it to Remely's point by 10 am even refueling in Isle of palms as long as you guys hustled. I think we made it from Isle of Palms to the landing we used here in Myrtle in around two hours if i remember correctly. Remely's Point is easy enough to find as well from the water just come out of the waterway into Charleston Harbor and head towards patriots point where the submarine was go past it under the bridge and its about a half mile up on the right hand side.

Oh yeah, I remember all of that and @veedubtek I am still 100% down if Karie and you wanted to run up a few more hours on your skis and launch from Myrtle. @robert843@Andy S are you all considering staying in Charleston Friday and/or Saturday?
I'm unsure at this point what my plan is. Staying Friday night would make my life easy but I will figure it out closer to that day. Its only a two hour drive for me so its not that bad. Crazy part is its about the same by water as driving but the cost of taking the boat from Myrtle would be a lot higher.

My thought right now is to spend the night on Saturday and maybe do a little boating on Sunday morning/early afternoon before heading back home. It only takes me 2 hours to get to Mount Pleasant so leaving early Saturday morning is no big deal for me. My Sunday boating plans all depend on the weather conditions that day. I'm hoping that the conditions are a little rough out in the oceans because that might be the first really good test of the soon to be installed trim tabs before the summer adventure. Even if the conditions are calm I might boat out to Morris Island lighthouse before heading home.
OK so I have been off the grid for a bit. Working too damn hard I guess. I am going to say I am in and put this on the schedule. @justason , let's work this out...

I really like the idea of staying Saturday @Andy S. I would love to join you out in open water for a bit to see how far behind I get trying to catch you with the trim tabs installed. @veedubtek and @robert843 how does the Saturday from Myrtle to Charleston, up the Cooper and back, and then stay in Charleston for the evening sound. Do a little Sunday morning boating and then head back up the ICW to Myrtle. @robert843 I know you might trailer down Friday or Saturday morning but would be fun to hang out that evening and boat a little Sunday morning.
I'm taking trailer hitch to Charleston this weekend for boat show. After asking what color I was wanting then to say they'd have it there, if I'm gonna make a ridiculous offer, I best be prepared in case they call my bluff. Lol

Just calling around checking & comparing, Charleston has given me the best deal by thousands compared to Savannah or Jacksonville.
Jacksonville wants over $15k plus a paid off 4 wheeler in trade & Savannah wants close to $17k no trade. To top it off, the salesman I spoke with in Savannah said & I quote, "if a dealer tells you they have a 2017 model in stock, they're straight up lying to you!" I hated to tell him that I knew for a fact some dealers in south FL had them as far back as November when I was trying to trade boat.
Charleston is in the $12-$13k range with no trade. Compared to the others, my ridiculous offer would be to throw in a cover & life jackets for Meghan / Eli for that price. Haha

If they have it at the show its unlikely they will let you leave from the show with it but once you close I will run it down for you. I will put it in at Charleston Harbor and run it down the ICW and you can pick it up somewhere close to you in GA. Just to help you get through those break in hours properly.
I'm hoping that is the case. I'd like to meet back up with them face to face again. Haven't seen them since last yrs boat show. They are the original ones I was gonna buy the boat from.

I'd pull you trailer down to you while @robert843 ride/breaks-in your ski, then I can give Robert a ride back to Chucktown. Cindy and I are always up for a road trip, especially to hangout with good people.

That would be a good test for both of us to see what we can handle with my boat having trim tabs. My bet is that you will still be able to keep up, the difference will be my ride will be smoother than before.
