For those wishing to have the driest bilge possible…. While I did not delve into this unit fully, I’m pretty sure it is a diaphragm type of pump. My friend who worked on a lot of large sport fishing boats / yachts installed these at the lowest point of the bilge to remove all water from the bilge.

That's pretty cool. I'm trying to think how i can justify that for my situation. Not sure that I can since my boat rarely sits in the water overnight. Perhaps a need to not steam the boat from the inside out if moored and covered for extended periods? That would be my guess.
 
Yeah if you take your boat out each day not much of a thing, but if you were in for say a week or all season it might be nice to keep as much water out as possible.
 
I came across this system this morning while researching dry bilge systems for a fellow member.


A little pricey but I like the simpler system, with what looks to me like a bigger gph flow?
