So last September my Port engine started to make a loud pitch noise and the rpm’s ranged about 2,500 rpm’s off from the Starboard engine while at 5,000 rpm’s. Within 5 min the engine cut so we took it in for service. Took 6 months to get parts for the engine from Yamaha for the dealer to fix. This year I went through the break in process again and after only putting 4 more hours on the engine that problem happened again. These engines only have 46 hours on them. These are also the 1.9L engines. Does anyone else’s have engine problems with their Yamahas this often?

There are problems occasionally but it’s rare.

First I’ve heard of an issue with a 1.9 engine. What exactly was the problem?

What was their unsuccessful "fix"?
